The room was a bit on the small side, but well kept and clean. Staff always friendly and willing to help with everything and anything. Well situated near Metro and nearby shopping districts. Breakfast was more than adequate - couldn't ask for more!

This Hotel was easy to find and close to the Metro. It is also close to the Piazza del Popolo.
The Hotel is very clean and the rooms were very nice although ours was a bit on the small side. The Breakfast was quite good with a huge variation. The coffee was amongst the worst I've had, contrary to what we were told I'm sure it was out of a jar! There was some lovely fruit juices to make up for this.
The Bar in the Hotel is fantastic and the bar staff very friendly. Happy hour is a real winner and the prices are reduced to realistic. Nibbles are also provided.
To summarise, I would stay here again and I would recommend to others.

I would highly recommend staying here while visiting Rome. Good location. Within walking distance to everything. Fantastic breakfast every morning is included. Great happy hour every day from 6-10 with half-price drinks and delicious complimentary appetizers. The bartenders were both very friendly. The front desk staff were friendly and very accommodating to our every need. I felt very comfortable and at home throughout my stay. It was the perfect place to stay. I hope to return someday.

My adult son and I had six enjoyable nights at the River Palace Hotel in late January/early February. After a long non-stop flight from ATL to FCO, our driver got us through the morning Rome traffic fairly quickly and to the hotel before 9 a.m. Everyone at the front desk was very welcoming, spoke English, and they were gracious when I tried my semi-functional Italian on them. Lots of smiles and a genuine feeling of welcome! We didn't expect our room to be ready, and the hotel staff were happy to keep our bags in a secured closet while we walked around the corner for a cappuccino or two. We returned to the hotel after an hour or so and found that our room was ready. Grazie!

I booked a single room/2 twin beds and we found the beds to be firm but comfortable and the housekeeping staff kept things tidy. Rooms are the typical size for Europe: smaller than those in the US, but very functional. The windows opened wide and we were able to enjoy fresh cool air all night long, with very little outside noise. The breakfast buffet was packed with lots of delicious options that satisfied both breakfast and brunch appetites, and the servers were happy to keep a steady flow of espresso and cappuccino heading to our table.

There is a very nice happy hour in the bar area each night: light snacks and many cocktail, beer and wine options, all served by friendly (and English speaking) staff.

The hotel is located in a really convenient location, just outside of the ancient Roman gate that leads to Piazza Del Popolo and is a few short steps to the Church of Santa Maria del Popolo and it's Chigi Chapel. It's also steps away from the Rome Metro/Underground, which proved to be really convenient when we wanted to avoid some rain and when we were just too tired to walk back to the hotel. I've visited Rome many times and have stayed in several different hotels; however, I will definitely book a room in the River Palace next time I'm in town.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor: you'll enjoy opening windows with little street noise.

We were most impressed by the staff at this hotel. Giorgio at the front desk provided us with excellent service and directions, Albert efficiently and professionally handled our bags. We LOVED their happy hour and the bartender was very welcoming. Breakfast staff had to hustle to keep up with the crowd - could have used another person or two working there. Breakfasts were hearty and tasty.
We did find the bathtub and shower a bit too small. We are small -average sized people and both bathing accommodations were very tight. There was also a step in the bathroom that was rather dangerous for us. The bathroom was not on the same level as the bedroom...
From this hotel, we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. It is only two blocks from the Piazza Del Popolo and the Borghese Gardens. A tram and subway are nearby.

We stayed at the hotel from the 5th - 9th of June and we had a great time. The staff were fantastic, the happy hour from 6pm to 10pm was great, breakfast was more than adequate and the rooms were spotless.
I would agree the classic rooms were a bit small but we were able to upgrade to a superior which was worth the money. The metro is only 100 meters away which opened the whole of Rome to easy access.
The Hotel offers a taxi service to the airport for only 55 Euro one way, much better value than I booked and they will organise it if you drop them a mail.

We stayed at this lovely little boutique hotel from June 6 - 9 this year and enjoyed every minute. The reception staff were warm and inviting and were able to address every question we put before them. As we had come in from overseas and a bit jet lagged the hotel worked quickly to have our rooms ready for us. In addition since we stayed over on a Sunday night and were staying three nights our third night was free!!! Quite a savings! They also had free WIFI in the hotel and your room.

We had rooms that were really comfortable, extremely clean with the best and whitest bedding and towels. The rooms were small but not by European standards. We had large windows in both the bathroom and the bedroom with certainly made the room seem larger. As we tend to take way too much luggage no matter how hard we try to minimize it was a challenge to accommodate the suitcases, but with a little strategic placing it all worked out! There was no gym but after a long day of walking about Rome we were ready for bed!

Breakfast was part of the package and included scrambled eggs (you could order other eggs but it was an extra charge), coffee, tea, cappuccino, fresh juices, fresh and very tasty fruits, yogurts, granola, pastries, breads, bacon, sausage and the list went on. We were very pleased with the selection, service and attitude of the staff. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner however there are so many trattorias and ristorantes nearby that we chose a new one each evening to enjoy.

There is a bar in the hotel and they have happy hour from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. daily which is quite a savings. They serve a pasta dish, nuts, olives and other tidbits at that time as well. We made sure we took advantage of that savings!

The hotel is centrally located just next to the Piazza Popollo and a 8 minute walk to Piazza Novanna - the train or street car stops right in front of the hotel which is very convenient. We could walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Colusseum and the Vatican. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Rome!Draft saved at 10:26.
