You get what you pay for I suppose. Staff very friendly but rooms let it down. We were moved after first night as first room was terrible. If your offered 303 decline straight away! Location is close to metro then 15 mins to centre but the location I felt was very run down and dirty and felt a little unsafe.

We stayed here for our 3 day honeymoon to Rome (without out baby!) and it was great. If you go to Rome you don't expect to spend much time in the hotel, so this suited us perfectly. Lovely reception staff, breakfast included, wifi only worked in some rooms but computer in reception anyway.

We recently visited Rome for a long weekend and stayed at the City Guest House. When we arrived it took us a while to find so make sure you google directions first. It's about 5 minutes walk from the metro, in a residential area, which at first looks a little 'dodgy' but is actually very quiet and the locals are very helpful. Don't let first impressions put you off. We felt very safe. The hotel itself is basic, but the staff are friendly and give great tips on how to get about. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable, and most importantly (especially when travelling in July) air conditioned! Breakfast was ok...I've had worse! The nearby metro is about 10 minutes journey to termini which isn't too bad.
The absolute best thing is the little restaurant next door. The menu is all in Italian, and it's always packed full of locals, but very friendly, reasonably priced compared to the city which is very expensive, and the food was out of this world so make sure you visit!

This guest house was clean, safe and the staff were amazing! Friendly, helpful and always have a smile on their face! The room was basic but clean and beds were comfortable. The AC was amazing and much needed! It's a short walk from the Metro and breakfast hits the spot! Reasonable prices and great local restaurants to eat in the surrounding area much cheaper and tastier than the city center.

We had a 3 day city break at city guest house Rome the staff were absolutely fantastic and helpful, the breakfast was lovely and you could set yourself up for a long day sight seeing, it is quite a way from the centre but the metro (underground) is just up the road and a good night life is there also, the only downside to the b&b is no kettle in the room and the wifi is quite weak

A few minutes walk from Numidio Quadrato Metro station this hotel is easy to get to and a short ride into the centre of Rome.

The staff are friendly and helpful with excellent English. Free maps or Rome are provided and the staff are happy to give advise on the places to see.

The rooms are a good size, very clean with extra blankets etc available in the cupboard. They all have air conditioning and en suite bathrooms. Wifi signal varies depending where in the hotel you are but it's free which is always a bonus.

The breakfast is lovely! It's a continental buffet with an good selection of cereals, toast, croissants etc as well as meats, cheese, boiled eggs and fruit. The coffee machine makes a lovely cappuncino.

All in all good value for money, located in a convenient safe area.

The staff at this Hotel are amazing. I booked my taxi, 5th floor Hotel room and the accasadi restaurant all by email. I received an email straight away saying everything I asked for was booked.
On arrival at the airport Emannule the taxi driver was waiting with a sign with my name on it. The drive to the Hotel took about 30 minutes. We were booked in by Anna who was a very happy and helpful lady.
Although the room is small, it has everything you need. A nice balcony to sit out and watch the world go by late in the evening. A nice bathroom with shower and hairdryer if you need it. The aircon was lovely as it was 36 degrees outside.
The breakfast was nice to get you started early in the morning before you go sight seeing.
The Accasadi restaurant which is part of the Hotel is extremely good. The pizzas, steak and tiramisu are wonderful. This restaurant is not expensive. The pizzas are 7 to 8 euros and are massive. The steak was only 16 euros. Very good value but you must book in advace as this restaurant is full every night of the week.
There is also a little cafe bar next door to the Hotel which is great for a snack or a beer, you can also buy your metro tickets here which saves a lot of time in the morning when you just want to get on the train and go straight to the centre of Rome. The metro is only a few minutes from the Hotel.
We felt safe at all times and the local people were very nice. We would definitely stay at this Hotel again.
