“Affordable; Wonderful People.”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

The very best asset this hotel has is the family who owns and runs it, and the staff they've chosen to assist them. My wife and I were welcomed like old friends and made to feel like we were staying with a family, rather than just taking a room.

The accommodations were neat and clean, and the breakfast espresso excellent. Think "B&B" in a city setting, and you'll have a good idea of the Hotel Giuliana.

A very good value!

My boyfriend and I stayed in July 2013. Nothing fancy but service was incredible and location was very good- not a short walk but certainly walkable distance to some attractions such as colosseum. We took a bus from just down the street to trastavere where there was great restaurants. Owners are British and are the most polite hotel staff I have ever met.

The hotel is but a short walk from the train terminal...(carry-on luggage). A little hard to find but is exactly where they said it would be.

Absolutely the finest service I've had in all of Europe..!! The room was small, but expected, and the shower is very small, but again, clean and most comfortable.

Very, very helpful staff, great mini breakfast.....can't say anything negative....would stay again and would definitely recommend it.

Walking distance to most everything.

Only 11 rooms, so a lot of person care.

If you need a large room...this is not for you.

Room Tip: I had to room right over the front entrance, I liked it but maybe, it might be abit noisy for some.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in January 2013. The location was perfect, the rooms were clean, the staff was wonderful and the price was very affordable. We loved it and will definitely stay there again next time we're in Rome.

We stayed at the Giuliana for 2 nights after completing a cruise. Chose it because of it's proximity to the main train station (needed to take the train from the port into the city). The location was convenient to restaurants and metro (husband got pickpocketed twice on the metro ~ no worries, they only got lint ~ we know not to have anything in our pockets!). The challenge is to find the entrance - there is a small sign out front and the entrance is behind some ancient wood doors, then up a small lift. Helpful to have a map and address handy. The room was simple, but very clean, and breakfast is included. Wifi is available for $2 a day. The front desk was most helpful, and there was a table with travel books in English that we used as well.

Stayed here for two nights in March, perfect location if you want to hop on the open bus tours you just walk five minutes up the street. Delicious complementary breakfast. Rooms are just OK and there was a weird bathroom smell the whole time.. not sure if that is normal or we just went at a bad time. Right outside of the rooms there is a little market that opens up so can get noisy... other than that great value definitely recommend for a quick stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed here from 5-8 December and absolutely loved it. Location is superb, less than 10 minutes from Termini station and within 15 minutes of the colosseum, spanish steps, trevi fountain. We only had to take the bus once to the catacombs everything else we walked to with no problems. Room was spotless and cleaned every day. Breakfast was tasty and there was a good selection of croissants, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, the staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful. All in all a superb trip and a fantastic little hotel- we will definitely be returning and recomending this hotel to family and friends! Thank you for making our trip so memorable!
