Owner description: Culture | Tradition | Wine | Food | More than just our group dinner of 8 Italian wines, hand-picked by Roscioli's top sommelier, accompanied by generous food pairings from our world-famous Roscioli kitchen, we offer high-end tastings of Champagne, Burgundy, Bordeaux (check our 'Taste the Legends' tasting). All wines and foods are sourced from extraordinary small local producers, representing several regions of Italy. The Rimessa is enjoyed by people who know little about wines to wine experts and masters. Want a shorter tasting or not to be in the group? Book our Tasting Bar, where you can customize a tasting of 3+ from 25 euros, all with a small pairing of Roscioli's artisan cheeses and meats, and explained by one of our sommeliers. Or, book a private tasting with Alessandro Pepe for a world-class tasting experience. Wine available to purchase or ship around the world.

It was so wonderful to experience the private wine tasting and food pairing. We learned so much and were lucky enough to end the trip on such a high note.

I can't say enough about Alessandro and his amazing class. We paid extra to have a private class just for our group (there were 12 of us). He took everyone's tastes and palates into consideration, but didn't compromise what he wanted to impart, and educated and entertained even beyond our expectations. I highly recommend this if you are spending ANY time in Rome! Molto bene!

Roscioli Wine tasting was fantastic! The food was amazing and the wine even better. Alessandro was on point from the first email I sent to confirm to the last goodbye. He is entertaining and the night ran smoothly with casual conversation from travelers from around the globe. He has the ability to make novice and seasoned wine tasters feel welcome. He allows times to chat, ask questions, and shares quite a bit of wine knowledge (obviously) and history with each bottle. Wine flowed well past the general "ending time" we booked for. I went with my boyfriend around Valentines day and It was a really special night. I would recommend it to all and we both agreed we would do it again! Well worth the price. The room is a bit challenging to find, but Allessandro has thought of everything...you should have no problem if you watch the video directions he sends ahead of time.

I had the wonderful experience of dinner/wine tasting last night at Alessandro's little place. The location is protectively hidden on a small alley way near Campo de Furi. The group consisted of 20 or so people, a pleasant mix of friends from Sweden taking a holiday together, a Finish couple and the Canadian family which had invited myself and a few other students who were studying abroad.
We tried 9 wines which were paired with various cheeses, cured meats, pesto, and a proper three course meal.

Wine: My two favorite were the Barolo Cannubi 2009, Giacomo Brezza e Figli paired with Stravecchio rosso di Amandola cheese and the Brunello di Montalcino 2008, Le ragnaie because it had such a complicated earthy flavor.

In conclusion, a wonderful experience and a truly authentic palette journey through Italy.

Doesn't matter if you are an expert or not.... Alessandro will drive you through the magic of wine tasting. If you have the chance of having a reservation for one of his adventure do not miss it. Best wine experience in Rome!
