Perfect location to start exploring the city by foot. Quiet well appointed rooms. Was originally given a single room that was small and off the main lobby but then moved to a nice room on first floor. Would definitely stay again as was very good value.

Stayed: July 2014

Stayed 3 Nights in May 2014.
We were a group of 5 thus booked a Double Room and a triple room

- The main advantage of the hotel is it's location. It is centrally located, few steps away from Pantheon and all major attractions of Rome can be reached by foot.
- The double room was small in size while the triple room was much bigger with a big well appointed toilet.
- The rooms were clean, no comment about the room service, good Wifi connection
- Comfortable Bed
- Helpful Stafff
- The Room had a mini frdige but no kettle for hot water
- We did not try the hotel restaurant and the breakfast was not included in our package.

Overall good experience and good value for money.

I feel a bit lucky about getting into this hotel. The hotel we originally booked, did not honor our room guarantee upon arrival. So, we found a travel agency in Rome that helped us get a room here literally "on the spot." Location could not be better. Less than 5 minutes walk to Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc.. Bus and taxi stop is in front of hotel. Very good air con.. Very clean, quiet, comfortable rooms. Large bathroom with updated plumbing. Traditional Decor. Mini-fridge in room. Can store drinks and food in it. Professional and helpful staff. I would stay here again. Only minor glitches: door to roof-top terrace needs a much better door handle. It's possible to get
locked out. (Can use phone next to door for help.)

Agree with other reviews that the location is perfect - a few minutes walk from the Pantheon and around half way between the Vatican and the Colosseum. There is also a bus stop right outside the door. The surrounding area is good for restaurants and cafes, particularly Campo de'Fiori, also only a few minutes away. Perhaps the only downside location-wise would be the noise from the main road if your room faces that way.

The room was pleasant and clean with a comfy bed and a decent modern bathroom, but they do seem to be quite small if that is something that concerns you. Also no iron available if you like to iron your shirts! The staff were friendly and helpful as well. Seems to be a reliable place to stay for a decent hotel in a great location.

We visited this hotel in June 2014 and was pleasantly surprised as to the location, The hotel itself is a bit old, but has a charm to it. We could not have asked for a better located hotel, On average we were only 5 to 10 minutes walk to all major sites in Rome. The hotel staff were very polite in point out various information we requested, Initially however we were given very small room, however once we complained we were given decent size room, We cannot comment on the breakfast as we did not eat in the hotel, however there are plenty of cafes and mini marts around to grab a bite or a quick coffee.

Room Tip: Get a large room, located towards the back of the building.

This has to be one if the best locations to stay in while in Rome.
There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel with many bus numbers stopping there but the hotel is within an easy walking distance of The Vatican, Pantheon,... We arrived around noon on a Monday and managed to do Rick Steeve's "Ceasar Shuffle", (which stats just beside the hotel) to the Spanish Steps and back again the same day we arrived and still had lots of energy to go out for a late dinner at a quaint restaurant down a little lane way behind the hotel.

We rented one of the two rooms with a rooftop balcony with great views of the rooftops of Rome.
Fair warning though: the rooms are fairly small by North American standards but very clean and comfortable. The deck boards on the rooftop patio were warped and lose but this was easy to over look with a late night snack of olives, cheese, artichoke, salami, and wine!
I loves the place and would stay there again.
One other thing...the water pressure for the shower can sometimes be very low, at least it was up on the 5th floor, but there was lots of hot water, it was more like washing in the rain instead of a waterfall. But this is Italy and you just have to accept some things, it's all part of the adventure and makes for great story telling when you get home.

We spent three nights here for a short break. As outlined in most of the other reviews here, the location is superb. It's a 10 minute walk to the top of the Forum. 20 minutes to the Colosseum, 15 to the Trevi fountain etc. And it is literally right next to a bus stop.

Upon arrival we had a friendly greeting. The lobby, like the rooms, is not huge. It clearly has seen better days but was never the less clean. The room we had (double) was not very big although the bed was large. We backed onto the courtyard which was quite dark, but also quiet.

The furnishings were old, but everything worked fine, There is plenty of cupboard space including a place to put your empty suitcase, so you don't feel cramped. The bathroom was small but pleasant, and seemed newer than the rest of the room. There were a generous amount of toiletries including toothbrushes and a razor. The free wifi was pretty fast too.

The aircon worked but was not that effective. Since it cooled down at night it was better to leave the window open. I am not sure if that option would work if the room faced the main road.

Breakfast was nice if not elaborate. Again the service was good. Although the breakfast room is in the basement, the tables are far apart, which makes it pleasant to sit in.

Other dealings with the staff were equally good, including booking a taxi back and other things.

Overall while the hotel, and the building, are 3 star, the service combined with the location make you feel like you got something better. I would therefore recommend it.

Room Tip: Try not to have a window onto the main road
