We loved Rome and this hotel! Very clean and very close to Termini Station. Our room was large considering typical rooms in central Rome. The staff is polite and professional. Really a good accommodation to visit this beautiful city!

Stayed at Ateneo Palace hotel in december 2012 with friends. The rooms and bathrooms we had were very clean and spacious. Adequate-size elevator to rooms. The buffet-style breakfast on the roof garden was italian coffee, capuccino, bread, cereals, eggs and ham. Location is very convenient to reach the Termini Station, very close to the Metro Station Termini.I definitely recommend.

I stayed here 05-07 Dec. 2 nights last month. It was a great surprise to discover this hotel near LaSapienza University and San Lorenzo area, which is the area I must stay during my visits in Rome.
The lady ( Her name i guess is Valentina) was very welcoming, smiling and professional. She was able in a matter of seconds to offer me two different rooms and choose which one I liked the best. So I settled in my lovely split level room which had a magic homey feeling. Room decoration was simple but it had all you possibly need. Bathroom was great new and clean. Room temperature great and I was able to get the desired one as it was quite a cold day in Rome.
Breakfast is served in a covered terrace on the top floor , I could be improved but it was fine for a quick coffee tough some fresh fruits would have been appreciated.
Common areas are nicely decorated, spacious, clean and plenty of light. Wi Fi is free of charge all over the hotel. I had overall a very positive experience at this hotel , I felt welcomed and well treated by the staff. Definitely I will try to stay here from now on.

Room Tip: ask for rooms overlooking the inner garden courtyard.

We just got back from a great trip to Rome that we organised with Trafalgar and had a fantastic time . We stayed at the Ateneo garden Palace situated near to the heart of Rome. Staff were so helpful, Rooms perfect, lovely gardens where we could sit and take an aperitif after a long day of touring around . We shall surely reccomend this hotel to visting friends ,its the perfect reasonably priced hotel nearest to the centre that you'll ever get . Nothing to complain about at all ! thank you Ateneo Garden palace for making our trip such a good stay :-))

Myself my husband just got back from a lovely stay in Rome - we stayed at this hotel . Since we are lazy, we found this hotel very central to the main attractions and were very satisfied with our Tour organised by Trafalgar. Thankfully, the hotel staff spoke English really well and couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was beyond our hopes, really fresh and tasty. The rooms were really well appointed and of a high standard when it came to cleanliness . We would highly recommend this hotel , especially for it's central position.

I & a friend stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights in September following a Trafalgar tour . The hotel staff are extremely polite, & willing to help eg happily printed out our boarding passes. Free Wi Fi & available hotel computer a bonus .Rooms are clean, reasonably spacious for Rome , we had a ground floor room with access to the lovely courtyard .Breakfast served on the roof garden area was moer than adequate plus great eating area .Easy taxi ride into the centre of Rome { did not use station } Area surrounding Hotel run down , but this is not reflected in the Hotel . Magic litte cafe /bistro turn rt outside Hotel door walk round the corner & situated next to fruit shop .Asked if we could order food to take away because of feeling unwell from a heavy cold !! no problem anything on the menu can be taken away . One part of the order we were told would take 10mins to cook vegetable dish , returned in 10mins not ready waiter apologised ++ , & then brought out 2 glasses of champagne for us to drink whilst waiting !!! , bill came to 20 Euros for fresh beautiful food & two Italian beers , cannot ever imagine treatment like this in Australia ,would be lucky with an apology . ! Hotel happy for take away food to be eaten in the courtyard garden . Happily stay in this Hotel again .

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms quite , or ask for rooms overlooking internal courtyard garden .

Ateneo Garden Palace Hotel, Rome

We booked this hotel to join a Trafalgar Bus Tour group.
Located in San Lorenzo, near the area of Termini Station, not a very good area.
The building has nice gardens, lots of flowers, and olive trees.
The hotel is rather small, like the average European hotel. Nice staff, everything was in order
when we arrived.
Right away we noticed the European economic crisis when we saw the bathroom toiletries,
One “all purpose” small bottle of soap, shampoo & shower gel. No hair conditioning.
Later on during our trip we found out that this is a common practice now across the country.
No body lotion at any hotel, except the very last one we stayed at in Rome, Sheraton Golf Parco De Medici Hotel.
Ateneo Garden Palace location is not the best. Few places around where to eat. Far away from everything.
Difficult to get to. Rome is a complicated city to get around, traffic is chaotic, street are all of the sudden blocked, and you can easily get lost trying to find a different route.
Breakfast, like most of the other hotels offer many sweets, Italians love their sweets in the morning.
Almost no fresh fruit, only canned, coffee was good, freshly prepared at the coffee bar. The staff very nice.
