Walking distance from our residence in the beautiful Parioli district, Obika Mozzarella Bar has become our go-to place for a romantic yet casual evening of fine wine and mozzarellas di bufala campana - delicious and fresh cured meats, several varieties of bufala (we especially love the creamy burrata) along with baked bread crostini. The service is fast, friendly and efficient. The food is of the highest quality and won't disappoint. If you go early evening reservation not necessarily needed however if you prefer to dine late, I suggest a reservation.

I went to Obika for a glass of wine after a day at work with my colleagues and before our dinner. The wine and the accompanying mozzarella snacks were very nice, but the whole experience was tainted when our waiter, who had been un-smiling during our time there, made a comment as we left suggesting that I'd had too much wine when I stumbled on an unseen kerbstone when leaving our table (we were at an outside table). I've never been so patronised or belittled by anyone like that in my life at a restaurant where I've spent money, left a tip and certainly was not under excessive influence of alcohol. Not sure I'd go back to this particular branch.

Dear Taylor101,
We are very sorry for what happened and we apologize for the unpleasant behavior of our waiter.
To provide an excellent service to our customers is one of our main goals and we can assure you that this is not our standard.
Even the restaurant manager is desolate for this and sends his apologies.
We will carefully consider your feedback to prevent such incidents from happening again.
Best regards.

Have been here twice. Pizza great; service good. This time, the past was re-heated. Is this not a capital crime in Roma?

This place was recommended to us by colleagues (Rome expat resident).

Tried creamy burrata, mozzarella di bufala, and share platters of cured meats: prosciutto from parma, n'duja sausage (spicy), mortadella from Prato, etc. Most of the products served are bearing the Slow Food denomination. High quality food.

Located in quiet Parioli district.

Reservations recommended.

We just moved to Italy and heard good things about the Obika Mozzarella Bar. Yes, it is now a multinational chain but you would not know that based on the excellent food and service. We shared a pasta course and a pizza. It has a very welcoming vibe and diners were mostly Italian speaking, some in small groups of three or four others just one. We highly recommend it for a casual stop.
