We had a wonderful stay at the Stella Magica (aka Magic Star) B&B in Rome. Our room was very nicely appointed, with modern furnishings. It wasn't tiny like most European hotels we've stayed at. The private bathroom and bedroom had been recently remodeled. The AC worked great and the continental breakfast was plentiful and well served. Patrizia was a very polite hostess and there are free beverages and snacks available all day. We also got support and advice re: our sightseeing plans, tips on public transit, and restaurants. While the neighborhood near the main train station is not ritzy, it is very convenient and we never felt unsafe. The room itself was very quiet and the bathroom was beautifully done.

We'd have no hesitation in recommending Stella Magica to our friends and especially want to thank Patrizia and her staff for a truly "magical" stay!

If you would rather spend your time and money on seeing the sites and enjoying the food than on taxis and expensive hotels, then the Stella Magica is a good value.

Our private guide sourced this new B&B for our short stay in Rome - based on its location near the Vittorio Emanuell II station which made it convenient for us to access all the sites we had on our "must see in Rome" list and a very short time to do it in. The neighbourhood was likely once beautiful - Piazza Vitorio Emanuell II is less than a block away and although it is not as well maintained as many of the other Piazzas we visited, there is evidence of a grand past.

The rooms are up a flight of stairs through a common entrance. The signage is not obvious from outside and had our guide not delivered us to the door, we would have had a bit of trouble believing we were in the right place. The rooms are basic, but clean, secure, and not crowded. The bathrooms funtional, but a bit narrow. Breakfast consisted of coffee, fresh pastries, and fruit juice - served at a counter with bar stools (a bit conjested) in the entryway. Patrizia, who I took to be the owner, was very helpful and kind enough to store some of our luggage while we toured outside the city. She worked hard to ensure we enjoyed our visit.

it was a nice place to stay, all attractions can simply be reached by foot and patrizia the owner is very kind! cons were that there wasn't a lift and we had to carry the luggage up by ourselves. It also is very noisy because of the street but the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Stayed for 5 nights in October on our first visit to Rome. B & B in good position for Termini station and Metro just round the corner. Room and shower spotless and comfortable and make a great base for exploring. Breakfast was coffee, juice and fresh pastries each morning which were delicious. There was a small fridge in the foyer with drinks and some snacks which you could help yourself to which was a nice touch. Patrizia was extremely helpful and welcoming making suggestions for our visit and nothing was too much trouble. If visiting rome again we would not hesitate to stay there again as it was excellent value for Rome.

Stella Magica was a great place to stay while in Rome. The B & B is a 5 minute walk from Roma Termini station which is very handy if arriving by train. Our host Patrizia was very accommodating and extremely helpful with tips on Rome. A breakfast of cornetti, muffins and sweet bread was included, as well as coffee which is prepared to your liking by Patrizia. There is a small fridge in the main reception area where you can help yourself to snacks, juice and water. The room was very clean as was the bathroom. There is no elevator but it's only 1 flight of stairs so it's not too bad. We would definitely recommend Stella Magica if you are planning to visit Rome and would definitely stay there again.
