I really enjoyed my stay at the Beehive. It was so clean and relaxing--quite an oasis in the chaos of Rome. The cat, Ingmar, was a great homey touch. In fact, the details like hand made soaps, English magazines, and the atmosphere were fantastic. Usually I'm kind of nervous about not having a shower in the room, but no problems here. There were plenty of pristine bathrooms.
The kitchen downstairs is great--all vegetarian food. The Beehive is very environmentally friendly (without making guests feel deprived). The staff is absolutely wonderful. We were helped tremendously with some train arrangements by Steve (the owner), and talked with Francesca in the kitchen while our pasta was cooking about Italian culture.
This is probably my favorite hotel ever (and I've stayed in bunches)--return visits are a must!

Affordable comfort located within walking distance to most of the sights. Bed was great, funky apartment, free internet access and due to English being the primary language it was very easy for booking, talking to other guests and signs in the apartment. Would highly recommend it to others. Wasn't noisy at night. The hot water cylinder for showers isn't huge but this didn't cause a problem when we were there and the apartment was full. It might be hot in high summer due to no AC but fans are provided. Very good value for money.

Rome was our last stop on our Tour de Europe and we were really looking forward to a place run by fellow Americans. Although it is very convienient to the train station, we had trouble finiding it at first, Roman street numbers aren't exactly visible or in order-just look for the clock that says "Enjoy Rome" and you are close. The facility itself is nice, marble floors and big sink in the bedroom. A kitchen on the lower level, plenty of bathrooms/showers. A absoultely priceless guide on local restaurants/sites/scams/etc, big fluffy towels and some of the best handsoap ever were provided to us. Our only complaint was that it was loud. The hotel is one part of a large apartment building and you can hear everything that happens in the courtyard all night long. Sound travels very well in the hallways too and we could hear whenever anyone walked by or was talking in the lobby. There is also a buzzer to let guests in and we heard that all night long too. We aren't light sleepers either. However, that is my only complaint. If I had some earplugs and Ambien I would have been a happy camper. The staff were great and only too happy to help.

Easy to get to form the train station and a good starting point for exploring Rome in every direction. It was safe, clean, comfortable and spacious not to mention a very good value. We stayed 5 nights in a private room with a sink on the corner of the main floor and it was more the I had expected. I would stay here again for sure.

The Millifiori Apt. is conveniently located near the train station. My 3 sisters and I stayed in the dorm room, 3 other ladies in another room, a married couple in the 3rd room. Long wait for the bathroom, but very clean. Nice little well furnished kitchen, and large dining room/central area. Iron/ironing board useful. Hairdryer, too. Computer and Internet a plus! The smallest elevator I've ever seen (very cute!). Inexpensive for Rome, a good value.
