“Extremely nice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2013

That's the best B&B I 've stayed at in Rome, just few steps away from Vatican and Ottaviano subway station. The apartments that serves as B&B contain 3 bedrooms with own bathroom and a nice Kitchen with large balcony. All is clean, cozy and nicely decorated. The owners just did their utmost to make it home for the guests. What u just have to remember is that small Italian B&Bs do not have reception and u have to inform the owners about your expected check in time. This is common for such kind of accommodation and u should be aware of that to avoid unnecessary disappointments.

Extremely welcoming owners, who will give you the best advice about where to go to in Rome. Place is lovely, very clean and comfortable. Staying at Dolcefarniente made Rome one of my favorite cities. Thank you to our hosts! The Cape Town visitors.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Dolcefarniente...Sweet idleness situated in Borgo Pio area on the fourth floor of a typical Italian building, it is in the heart of Rome and one of the quaintest areas of the city. Surrounded by Trastevere and Castel Sant'Angelo, it is regarded as the Vatican's vestibule due to its strategic position. It is here that most of roman history happened. You'll sense the importance of this area as you walk through the narrow roads, it's not so high heel friendly cobbles, its family run restaurants and its very characteristics shops. Dolcefarniente's unique position offers the possibility of getting round the city very easily as it's very well connected, both by foot and by public transport, to all the main sites of Rome. ... more   less
