Residenza Napoleone III

The rooftop suite is an exquisitely chic, casual jewel with knockout views from a large garden terrace. It was a completely different experience than the grandeur of the gorgeous main suite my husband and I adored on our last visit several years ago. Both apartments showcase the world-class decorating and style of the warm and gracious Princess Letizia, and are so comfortable you never want to leave. And, breakfast served outdoors on the terrace dining table was unforgettable. Such a private, luxurious perch.
La Residenza Napoleone is a rare gift to travelers: a one-of-a-kind experience in the world. Amazingly, priced similar to or below the typical luxury hotels in the area, offering exceptional value in my opinion.
I am submitting this review, my first, to give the apartments my highest praise and especially, to express my gratitude to Princess Ruspoli for sharing it with us.

Everything on this trip was unexpectedly wonderful: reservation, communication, interiors and exteriors, people and services ... )) wonderful and easy-going at the same time... Beatrice was so friendly and helpful - real fairy! Thank you, Beatrice, Special thanks for the birthday breakfast surprise and meeting with Princess Letizia. Highly recommend this place for everybody who looks for something special and exquisite in Rome!

I'm not sure but I felt like I was here before. Even my Italian started to come back to me.
Nevertheless, this residence is unique and its become one of our best stays in Roma.

The hostess is professional and more than capable of handling any dinner booking or event planning. She makes the stay that much more relaxed and refined.

The rooms were very clean and tidy. The air quality was also good. Breakfasts were a joy. We found ourselves relaxing mid day in the sitting rooms when the sun was at its peak. What a wonderful place.

The location is ideally suited. You can walk to everything you wish to visit including dinner unless the Louboutin's are out for the evening. I'm not sure how the Roman women can strut their 10 cm's on those cobbles but its fun to watch.

There are little surprises that await you should you choose this location. Enjoy.

We will return.

Room Tip: Don't ask, you already know which one.

My wife and stayed at the Residenza Napoleone in October 2013 and absolutely loved it. The location could not be better and the main Suite is incredible, like a musuem but not too precious, and almost too spacious whcih in Rome is unheard of. It not not your typical hotel in that there are no services per se, but Beatrice the Manager was extremely helpful.
We inspected the Roof Garden Suite out of curiousity - next time we visit Rome, that is certainly where we will stay, cozy but incredible views and a great outdoor area (weather would need to be favourable). The Roof Garden Suite would not suit older folk as there are some very tight and steep stairs in and out of the suite.
Loved every minute of the place!

We stayed at the Residenza Napoleone for our first anniversary and cannot recommend it enough. The whole experience was incredible and everything about the hotel, from the warm welcome upon arrival to the decor and location was flawless.

The experience at Residenza Napoleone is unique and extremely personal. The hotel arranged for us to be picked up at the airport and we were whisked from the outskirts of Rome to the inner sanctum of the Palazzo Ruspoli in no time at all. The driver was prompt and polite.

We were greeted personally at the hotel and then shown around the property.

We stayed in the garden terrace suite which has excellent panoramic views of Rome. The suite feels like the well appointed guest rooms of an aristocratic friend’s house and has beautiful furnishings and decor.

The terrace is huge with a range of different plants and flowers and made an excellent location to be served breakfast in the warm Roman sun – something few hotels can boast.

The bedroom is on a lower-level and feels extremely cosy – it made for an excellent night’s sleep. A few people have commented that the apartment is small in some way – we cannot agree with this – for two people it is perfectly sized.

Location-wise the suite could not be better placed for exploring Rome by foot. You are only a few hundred metres from the Spanish steps and other key tourist areas but once you step through the exclusive big wooden front door you are in a world of your own – the feeling is similar to a riad in Marrakech.

All of the staff were brilliant and we were made to feel really welcome. Given the high quality of the experience we say that the value for money could not be better and we would not hesitate to stay here again. Truly wonderful!

We stayed three nights in the Roof Garden Suite and loved it. The cozy and snug bedroom, private lounge and garden terrace were such respite from the hustle and bustle of Rome. Right from the begining (from our email enquiry and correspondence) until our departure, Beatrice has been exceptionally wonderful. Her genuine friendliness, warmth and competence were so refreshing. The Butler is such a sweet and helpful guy. Bravo. No request was too much trouble. A little example of their attention to detail - Bought some roses from one of the ubiquitous flower sellers on the street and overnight I kept them in a large water bottle. The next day following our return from sightseeing the roses were beautifully displayed in a crystal vase. The small touches count a great deal. As a history buff the Palazzo was captivating and loved the sweet little cast iron lift. Yes, we would stay there again with no hesitation and would recommend it highly. Money well spent. Helen and Danny.

Room Tip: The Roof Garden Suite bedroom may not be ones cup of tea if one is tall and stocky.

Right from the start, the service was personal and warm. We got a little lost in the streets of Rome on our way to the palazzo and when we phoned La Residenza, Beatrice (the manager) ran out to find us.
The place basically looks like a museum. We stayed in the Garden Roof Suite and when we came out onto the terrace, it took our breath away. The garden roof suite is cozy, unassuming, and yet sumptuously luxurious. We watched the sunset from our deck and could not have asked for a better start to our honeymoon.
And of course: the location. Right on Via del Corso, smack in the middle of all the fine shopping, dining, and landmarks.
The only caveat is that if you're a big/tall person, you may have some trouble navigating the stairs down to the (amazingly cozy!) bedroom. Also, the bathroom could use some work (e.g., the caulking) and the shower is also a bit cramped.

Overall, a phenomenal experience and well worth the money.
