“Perfect location”

It is strategically just one block from the Termini Rail station. You simply exit the station to the right of the building, cross the street, walk one block, turn right, and you are there. The Hotel is 3 minutes walking distance to Main train Station which is convenient. It's also near Hop on hop off stop and Subway station. There is free breakfast when we booked. The male receptionists were fine. Take note that the hotel in on the 3rd floor of an old building. First, you have to take couple of flight stairs then you'll the reach the floor with the "very old" narrow metal elevator/freight lift to reach the floor of the hotel. Only 2 people or one person/one luggage can go in at a time inside that elevator. That building actually houses at least 3 different hotels, one for every floor, so make sure you stop on the right floor. There is no lobby and reception area is tiny. There is a laundry facility within that street, which is convenient but the cost depends on the whether your laundry is small or big load and you also have to buy their laundry powder. The hotel room was just enough for my family. Wi-fi is not free but with fee per hours. This hotel is fine if you're mainly visiting Rome for short time and always outside.

The location of this hotel is very good, less than 5 minutes walk from the main train station and Metro interchange,. The rooms are quite basic but have what you need, it was hot when we stayed but the air-con was ineffective. The breakfast are also quite poor. If you want a basic hotel with a good location, this is for you.

The Hotel is walking distance to Main train Station which is convenient. It's also near Hop on hop off stop and Subway station. The area around it is not that safe looking esp at night. There is free breakfast but we weren't able to eat due to our early schedule. The male receptionists were fine. Take note that the hotel in on the 3rd floor of an old building. The room is old, even the beddings, but I think most Rome central hotels are like this.

Room Tip: Souvenir shops are plenty outside the streets. There are also lots of restaurants inside the train s...

Our Marco Polo stay was booked with our package deal through a travel agent & we could not have picked a better location ourselves, very close to train station & all transportation. Hotel is clean, rooms comfortable, though very basic, average breakfast, staff friendly & helpful. Only problem---NO ICE!

Room Tip: ask for larger room if available, first room was so small we couldn't trun around, but when i as...

The Marco Polo is very near Termini and therefore public transport, bars, restuarants etc. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the service is first class. All the staff are very helpful and friendly and make you very welcome. The price of rooms is very good taking into account all what you get for your money. Primo classe.

I selected this hotel solely due to location, as it is strategically just one block from the Termini Rail station. You simply exit the station to the right of the tracks, cross the street, walk one block, turn right, and you are there. I also booked through my time share network, and only paid a booking fee of $25 for two nights, so there was no way this hotel could disappoint, as I knew I was getting great value regardless of my experience.

I was delightfully surprised and pleased. My single room was quite small, but adequate. Bathroom was small (just two meters by two meters), and water pressure at the shower head was weak, but still adequate nonetheless. Room was very clean and quiet during sleeping hours, with some outside renovation noise during the day and some slight breakfast noise in the morning.

The guys at the front desk were very friendly, courteous, and helpful, offering local advice for the activities I was doing.

Breakfast was disappointing. I enjoy hot tea, and the water dispenser dispensed only warm water. Furthermore, it was shared with a coffee dispenser, giving the tea an undesirable coffee flavor. Otherwise it was a continental breakfast (rolls, cheese, deli meat, yogurt, cereal).

I gave it four stars because of my particular needs and objectives. If you are here for a very special event (honeymoon etc), or never plan on visiting Rome again, or are used to high-end hotels, then stay somewhere else. If you enjoy traveling like a local (as I do), and need to get around Rome with public transportation or prefer to tour by walking, then this hotel is a great choice.

I would certainly stay here again.
