“nice two star hotel near main train station”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2013

STAYED her for three nights around new years,,,,,,,located walking distance from main train station......It is on the third floor (address is no. 76) on street.....I walked past the hotel the first time,.look for the # 76 on the building....entrence is set back a bit....room and bathroom very clean........free great wyfi...breakfast on 5 th floor....(basic) light breakfast....staff is helpful....bring eye plugs! if you are on an outside room,,The street people may make a hell of a racket at night......Or ask for an inside room (if available)...bring eye plugs allways....nice hot water for shower.....subway is on the bottom floor of train station..be sure to visit the Santa Maria church.....only 3 blocks from hotel.,..subway is easy to use...get a three day pass....I was not pleased with the rests in the area..most are tourist rests Do some research for good resturants (I did not) ..Be sure to get an international VISA/Master card..without the 3% charge..very helpful......in the summer they charge for AC,,,,that is BS...they ALSO have a free use lap top in lobby ( no printing).......free walking tours at 4PM and 10AM each day leaves from the moumnet near the spanish steps.............very good,,,

Room Tip: ask for an inside room

We stayed there in July. Average room, no complaints, close to the train station, 10 minute walk, busy area, no problems with noise and good opportunities for restaurants and cafe'.
Clean, bed ok. There was some attempts to make us pay for the air conditioning but we didn't in the end. This we did not like.
Good value for money. We recommend and we would stay again.

The room was clean, but very small. The furnishings are in need of replacement. Only a 2 person elevator. There are several hotels housed in this one building, each on a different floor. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, but limited choices. The location close to the Termini is convenient. Don't expect luxury, but it is an economical way to see Rome.

With the rate offered, I had very low expectations when booking this hotel. My goal was simply a decent room for one night. Turned out to be much more than decent however at Hotel Orlanda. My room had a nice bathroom and hot shower. It was a large room with comfortable beds and what I thought was an ideal location. Very good proximity to the Termini train station and easy walking to and from the various sites around Rome. I like to explore cities on foot but if you prefer use of the tube, you are only 3 minutes from a station. I would stay here again and would stay for more than one night next time. Thanks for a nice stay.

It's not the Ritz, but is certainly adequate. Great location, friendly helpful staff. You can count on warm water if not hot all the time. No bell staff and tiny elevator. Breakfast is a true continental breakfast but tasty. We were in room 302 which is large. Our friends were in a much smaller room. If trafficnoise bothers you,you might want to ask for a different hotel.

I took my husband and 2 girls to Rome and we stayed at Hotel Orlanda. It was very near all the usual attractions, very close to the main station and metro and most importantly ....very friendly! The staff were helpful and spoke very good English. The room was a family room and was very big and very clean. Breakfast was included in the price and was lovely. I would highly recommend coming to this hotel for a family trip. Will definitely use again.

Room Tip: The family room was very big even with 4 of us in it.
