We only had one night here after a week in the south on the way home, checked in in casual clothes and felt underdressed - Maximilian ( or something like that) checked us in. He didn't show us a map, where the hotel was located, he never said where to have breakfast or what time it was served at, I had to ask him to swipe my credit card so we could charge food and drinks, the room was beautiful until I pulled back the voil, we were on the 4th floor in a dormer style roof space and the view was of a flat wall that was right outside the window, if you were costrophobic u would not like this, I didn't bother asking for a switch as we were leaving very early the next day and it was just a stopover - but at over 300€ it was not good value. Later after showering and dressing for dinner, I was welcomed by reception Julianne (trainee) was extremely helpful, I. Explained we had been given no info on check in, he gave us a map, told us about breakfast etc. and one of his colleagues again a very polite pleasant lady booked us a table at a local restaurant, we had eaten in before and she was very helpful. But no matter, as our welcome experience was poor, it spoilt the complete visit. The concierge service was excellent.

Room Tip: Ask about view and location of room when booking

Stayed here a week ago. Amazing property ! When you walk in the lobby you see the wow factor. Very nice ! Staff very helpful, clean rooms, good breakfast. Gym is small and kind of rundown. Some old running machine which definitely needs upgrading. Not 5 stars worthy. Pool is nice and the main choice to take the hotel. Unfortunately the water was extremely cold !

All in all the stay was good and we liked the hotel very much. I hope they fix the pool heating and upgrade the gym.

Beautiful hotel in good location. Staff unfriendly and indifferent. I preserved pizza from room service in pm and left half of it in room to serve as my dinner when I returned from evening tour. Housekeeping swept it away during turn down service; when I called to ask for return or replacement I was ignored. Talked to desk staff next morning and no refund or replacement offered. Attitude around here is get lost and don't bother me. I know this seems like a small concern but for an old lady traveling alone food is a big deal. I have traveled widely all over the world and found better staff in Holiday Inn than in this "luxury" hotel."

Dear Guest
We do deeply apologize for the general bad feeling you had cause of a misunderstanding regarding a pizza, resolved thanks to a proposed pizza changed never accepted with a following rebate of the pizza charge.
Sure this isolate matter won’t jeopardize the trust you’d always had we hope to welcome you again in the next future with a promise of unforgettable stay.
Best regards

My wife and I spent 6 nights at the Boscolo Excedra Roma and enjoyed every minute. The front desk staff was polite and professional as was the restaurant, concierge, housekeeping and bell staff. Our room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant and lounge food was delicious with a good variety and good service. The hotel is in a great location with quick walk or taxi ride to major attractions. I would visit again on future trips. The one recommendation would be that the bed pillows were of a better quality.

The Boscolo has many great features. It is well located, clean and well maintained. The staff is very responsive and helpful. The hotel,is near the Metro, Termini Station and not too far for the Spanish steps, great shops and restaurants. The rooms are good. However, it is worth noting that there is much room variation at the same level. My first superior room was so far away that after I took the elevator to my floor and walked a distance, I had to take another elevator at another part of the hotel (or I could have taken stairs) to ultimately get to my nice room. To their credit the staff offered us two other rooms and we picked the second of those. Even that room was a bit of a walk (but only one elevator). The room was smaller but closer. It was still a mini hike which we got used to but this would not have worked for an elderly person. If you don't mind this layout it's a great hotel. Or you can make clear when you book your room that you want something close to the elevator. That is really my only main negative and this may not bother you. Also, some rooms have balconies nod some do not so if that matters, let the hotel know. The bathroom was a bit small but ok.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the elevator and that doesn't need two elevators.

There are two Boscolo Hotels in Rome and both are part of the Marriott Autograph Collection in Rome...we selected this hotel simply from the on-line pictures and it looked to be more unique with a larger lobby and in an absolutely stunning architectural building...this hotel is in the Piazza Repubblicca and this hotel is one building of a two building mirror - in other words, both building are identical, they gently curve like the famous Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach, but the exterior is just out-of-this world...not sure of the style, but maybe Baroque?...in any event these two building surrond two side of the Piazza!...at night they are lit up in white and green soft lights which make them postcard perfect!!!...as I did in Barcelona, Spain and Venice, I had written a letter to the hotel manager in advance...we arrived in Rome via high-speed rail from Venice in about four hours...a short cab ride from the main Rome train station got us to the hotel in half the pricve that the cabbie quoted me!...the check-in was smooth and though it was about 11 am when we got to the hotel, our room was ready...the hotel had upgraded us to a "Panaorama" Room (though I had upgraded when I made the reservation to a better room than just a regular room)...the room looked out over the Piazza and we had a small balcony in which I could step out and take pic's...the room itself was classic...the ceilings were 16 feet with the largest crown moulding that I've ever seen...but even more spectacular was the mirror that dominated one wall...it was 8 feet by 5 feet with a huge, gold frame that added another foot on each side - it was HUUUGE!!!...the bathroom was large and spacious with two wash basins set in black marble...there was a toliet and a bidet...with the Piazza below we expected the room to be noisey, but it wasn't...even more surprising was that when we closed the tall, heavy drapes, no light got in - it was like being in another world - quiet and dark...our room was just across from the two elevators and we never heard a sound from outside in the foyer area...Guiseppe, the Conceriege was very professional, fridnly and helpful...if fact he had worked at the Boscolo Hotel in Venice, which if we ver go back I'll want to check it out for sure...as a Marriott Honored Guest member (Lifetime Platinum) we had access to the Executive Lounge and the breakfast spread was impressive...you could go to one side and eat for free and get coffee and pastries or you cold go to the "pay" side...we went to the pay side and it was wonderful...this hotel as well delivered a bottle of champagne and fruiot inculing the largest (actually the longest) pear that I've ever seen...the peach was also very good and the banana was delicious...the bar outside the front of the hotel in the portico was very relaxing as we were out of the sun and a cool breeze seemed to nblow constantly...the drinks were big and good...this hotel is an architectural/historical delight...the building is just a sight to be seen and again, at night, its a looker

Room Tip: Upgrade to a "Panorama" room, one that looks out on the Piazza...breathtaking view!!!

I spent 4 nights at this hotel . The hotel is located close to Roma Termini the Central station . The staff at the check in counter were Wooden faced and never smile at the guests , But once i checked into my room i forgot that etiquette as the rooms are huge and luxurious and the Hotel is outstanding in terms of decor and grandeur. The breakfast is outstanding apart from the usual stuff their desserts are the best i have ever eaten eaten at any hotel . The hostess NADIA is so welcoming that even if you are not hungry you might want to stay longer ! The concierge ADAM was the most helpful concierge ever encountered . He arranged for retsaurants and taxis and used to make our trips comfortable. The hotel is expensive like all hotels in Rome BUT it is money well spent .

Room Tip: the rooms facing the fountain are all suites of penthouse suites , i was staying in a classic room a...
