Stayed here for two nights on a trip to Rome recently. The rooms are relatively small, but not tiny. I have seen smaller rooms in Italy. The check-in was smooth. Rooms were clean and had the essential amenities. Wifi is not free and charged at 5 Euro for one day or 10 euro for one week. But once connected, it works pretty well.

The breakfast was a let down. The bread was stale and with minimal choices. Other than that, it was a pretty okay.

There are hundreds of hotels in the Termini area. Most of them are similar, but booked this hotel based on relatively good reviews and was not disappointed. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who is insisting on hotels near Termini within this budget. Being a very crowded area, make sure to take a map with direction from the station to the hotel.

Travelling as a group of 7 ladies we booked 2 twins and 1 triple. Two rooms were at the back of the hotel and much quieter, the larger triple was at the front of the hotel and whilst very roomy was very noisy. The local restaurants didn't quieten down until around midnight and then the workers started from 5.30am - and the locals are not frightened to use their horns. Thank god for ear plugs. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. The shower head was broken but was replaced by the time we got back that evening. Also asked for one extra pillow and each bed got an extra pillow!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was no problem to phone attractions and book tickets for us. Breakfast could get a little busy but excellent range of meats, cheese, breads, pastries. Juice. Coffee machine but proper cappuccino available on request from lovely waitress. Basic hotel but clean and friendly. Just remember your ear plugs or ask for a room at the back.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter.

Friendly staff, especially Stefano is very helpfull. Great location. The triple room was very spacious. Nice clean bathroom. The beds were quite hard. We had a room at the front which was quite noisy (street noise). Closing the window was not an option since there was no airco provided and the room was quite hot. Breakfast was fairly good. The coffee from the coffee machine is not drinkable but fortunately you can ask the lady for a real cappuccino from the espresso machine.
I never understand how it works with hotel stars .... this hotel has 3 stars. Is it the hair dryer in the bathroom? the minibar in the room? The hotel has no facilities and the overall atmosphere/looks is of a 2 star hotel. I realize that hotel prices in Rome are very much demand driven and May is an extremely busy period in Rome but in this case 279 euro per night does not bear any relation to the offered quality and service (and still charge 5 eur per day for Wifi). I travel a lot all over Europe and this type of accomodation should really not cost more than 100-120 euro per night max. For that price I would be willing to recommend it.

My daughter and I spent four nights visiting Rome in February. We stayed in the Flower Garden Hotel, selected for its price and location. Only five minutes walk from Termini means easy access to the bus to the Airports but also the local buses and Metro. The rooms were clean, other reviews speak of noise from adjoining rooms but I heard nothing. Maybe, being February, it was quiet or maybe the noise is reduced by the novel padded wallpaper! Breakfast was a surprise. We weren't expecting great things but there was plenty of selection and really quite nice. The room didn't have air conditioning so it maybe rather warm in the summer but what do you expect for this price. Nothing to do with the hotel but beware of ticket touts trying to convince you that their sight seeing tickets/Vatican tickets/museum tickets are better than anyone elses. They're not. Just buy tickets from the authorised outlets. Also a good tip is to buy a Roma Pass which gives you free travel on the buses and Metro and free entrance to two monuments.

Room Tip: Obviously, rooms on the front suffer Italian car horns from early in the morning

Stayed in this hotel on a two day visit to Rome. I preferred to stay near the Termini railway station on my very first trip to Rome and I was glad at my choice of the hotel. It is very easy to walk to this hotel if you are arriving on train. If you are flying, the hourly airport shuttle bus will drop you or pick you up to/from Termini. On my day of arrival, I was very excited to walk from the hotel to the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, to see the great architecture of the century old buildings. The buildings in this part of the city are old but beautiful. the hop-on hop-off bus stop is also right next to Termini.

Room size was just okay. I could hear a lot of noise from the road and neighboring rooms but I didn't spend much time in the hotel. The gentleman at the reception was all smiles and very friendly. The service was great - more than what I had expected. On the flip side, WiFi comes with an extra charge.

We enjoyed our stay at Flower Garden Hotel because of the good location which is close to the railway station roma termini and to the theatre. The hotel is essential but completely renovated and clean. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is ok for a 3star hotel.

Stayed here in a group of 3 guys and 2 girls, a mixture of family and friends in September 2013. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and safe, and literally a couple of minutes away from TERMINI metro station, where buses also stop, so very easy transport links to go sight seeing. Nearby there are shops, lots of places to eat, exchange money etc. Overall this is a fantastic place to stop
