We just spent 3 wonderful nights at Residenza Ave Roma. Vincenzo and the rest of the staff were so warm and welcoming. Vincenzo gave us recommendations for 2 great restaurants close by with typical Roman food. We were very close to the Vatican and steps away from the bridge crossing the Tiber River. It was beautiful at night. We left the hotel early each morning for tours and then to catch our plane, so Vincenzo showed us how to work the coffee machine so that we could help ourselves with breakfast each morning. It was the typical breakfast with pastries, fruit, juice, and coffee. Our room was very comfortable and quiet at night. I loved having a tub. We walked all over Rome--even to the Colosseum and Forum. It took us about 25-30 minutes, but we loved getting to see the city. I'm sure you could take a bus or taxi if you didn't want to walk. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Rome.

We stayed at this lovely, friendly hotel last weekend. It was our first visit to Rome, and both Vincenzo and Vera were so helpful in making sure we made the best use of our short time there to see the sights. The hotel is in a great location not only for seeing the main sights, but also for the lovely cobbled streets with great bars and restaurants so close by. The hotel provide free breakfast, which was delicious and varied. and you are encouraged to make yourself at home. The rooms have everything you need, and are spotlessly clean. There is also free wifi which is a bonus. All in all, we loved this hotel, we were sad to say goodbye to Rome and also to Vincenzo and Vera. We look forward to returning soon.

Visited Rome for a short break and this hotel did the job perfectly. The location is second to none, right on the Tiber across from the Castel Sant'Angelo, you couldn't get more central and its a five minute stroll to Vatican City and even less to the Piazza Novana. The main bonus was the staff, owner Vicenzo was a real gentleman and a credit to Italian hospitality...doing whatever necessary to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Ask him to point out restaurants close to the hotel that he frequents himself, you are guaranteed to get something more authentic and less expensive than the usual tourist traps. My main tip for a short break to Rome is to pay a bit extra and take the guided tours whenever possible...avoiding hours worth of queues just got easy. Also buy your ticket for the Colosseum/Roman Forum/Palpatine Hill at the entrance to Palpatine Hill...again you will avoid a massive wait and the same ticket does all three. Take a big memory card for your camera...you can't turn a corner without their being a museum, a church, wonderful architecture or some ancient ruins!

Room Tip: The 'hotel' is part of an apartment building and the rooms (of which there are not many) are...

Following a proper research, me and my girlfriend decided to stay here for our Valentine's. We were looking for something cozy and romantic, in a good location. Well, this place was the perfect choice! Vera and Vincenzo made us feel very welcome, they were very helpful and able to advise us regarding all the attractions and good restaurants. We had an amazing time! Thanks Vera & Vincenzo!

Amazing breakfast, everything very clean, unique and perfect rooms with everything you could need. The best staff. They give you information and offer everything you would need without need to ask for. Very good location, it is possible to get to the main touristic places just walking. I'd totally come back.

It is a small ( it has only 6 rooms) and cozy hotel at a walking distance to the main touristic spots. Rooms are nice, ours was quite big, clean and quiet as the window has a really good soundproof.

Breakfast is also really good compared to other places. The area for breakfast is small, but we didn't have any problem on the 3 days we stayed there. Plus Vera, the woman that was on the morning attending the hotel, was very nice, with a smile and ready to help. So, breakfast was very nice, really.

In the end, what made our stay there unforgettable was the people working there. Before arriving, I wrote asking if they could provide a candle for my boyfriend's birthaday and Vincenzo answered saying of course they will. When we arrived (late at night) Vincenzo was waiting for us (very kind of him btw as reception is not 24h, in other hotels I asked, they were charging us to do so) and, to our surprise, when he showed us the room, in a table it was not only a pretty candle but also a b-day card, a small gift and a bottle of prosseco, all nicely placed. I and, of course, my boyfriend, were shocked for such a nice surprise. Thanks again Vincenzo for helping making a speciall b-day for my boyfriend!

So, we really recommend this hotel not only for its great location and cleanliness, but also because you feel at home there.
