“Wonderful place to stay in Rome”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

3 days at The Hotel Mozart before going to Northern Italy. A quiet little street off the main boulevard is a perfect location. Beautiful upper deck that looks out over the small roof tops to the view of at least 5 church spirals. Bells ring beautifully on the hour, Opera singers voices rise above (music lessons on our street) make sitting upstairs a moment not to be missed.
Dinner is served as well as a cocktail hour.

Breakfast was incredible...generous and delicious. Take an apple with you as you walk to the Piazza de Populo - an easy walk.

An improvement could be at the Front Desk. They should take time to explain how to get around Rome...I found out afterwards, there's a subway stop close by near the Spanish Steps....that would have been helpful information then. I would have seen a lot more sights than by walking or a bus in traffic. Language can be a barrier sometimes at the Front Desk.

Don't let that stop you - it's a real gem in Rome,
I'd go back in a Heart Beat.

Room Tip: Depends on how much you have to spend. Room with a view.

We stayed @ Hotel Mozart the first 3 nights od a 2 week trip to Italy. FANTASTIC! This hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, it is charming, the staff is extremely helpful - especially with dinner reservations! Breakfast was the best out of our entire trip!

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Mozart along with six other couples from August 26-30. We loved it! The rooms are clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. Our room faced the small street where the hotel is located and it could be noisy early in the evenings, but it wasn't so bad as to keep us awake. The rooftop terrace is a wonderful place to have cocktails and enjoy the views of the city. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the choices were many. My only negative comment was the size of our shower; very, very small.

Dear Jaybleuehayes,
thank you for your wonderful description of our hotel. It’s always a pleasure to hear we have been of help to our guests. We are also glad you apreciated our charming location and the rooftop terrace with the cocktails of the bar and the view on the city. Unfortunatly some “Classic” rooms have a small bathroom, though if all all them have been renovated, but it makes us proud to see that it didn’t prevent for giving us a five stars comment and if you contact us for your next trip we’ll be glad to manage this issue.

We actually stayed in the Vivaldi Rooms, which are the Hotel Mozart's auxiliary space. I recommend the Vivaldi rooms, because they are in a separate building that's very cool and makes you feel as like a local. The hotel, either the main or Vivaldi, is perfectly located in a beautiful area near the Spanish steps. In addition to our nice rooms, we loved going to the main hotel's terrace for drinks and delicious little appetizers each night. The sunset views from that spot are terrific. But, what really made our trip to Rome so great was Justin at Italian Tourism. He planned our trip, booked the hotel, suggested restaurants, and organized fantastic tours. Two highlights were the tour of ancient Rome and the private Vatican tour - great guides and all seamlessly handled by Justin (http://italiantourism.us/vatican-tours/)

Good location, very central close to most of the places of interest eg piazza di spagna , pantheon, fontana di trevi. Also there are shops and restaurants around. Clean rooms and good selection of breakfast.

I had reserved 5 rooms at Hotel Mozart and 2 suites at Ripetta apartments for my June wedding. I picked this hotel because of its close proximity to my church in Piazza del popolo. This lovely charming hotel is conveniently located about 2 blocks from Piazza Di Spagna, few blocks to Piazza del popolo and via del corso. Amazing shopping in the area. Rooms at Hotel Mozart were nice but very small. Ripetta apartments were very nice but it was difficult to get in and out. We had four people at the apartment but only two set of keys were given.

We had a big mess during check-in. I had all the reservations email printed out, but yet they could not locate some of the bookings. Finally after an hour, they were able to find it. Front desk staff were not very friendly. I've overheard someone called the front desk to ask for more towels. The front desk staff refused and said, "if you get more towels, then no towels for tomorrow"....seriously????

I was staying at the ripetta apartment and called the front desk for service my apartment, they stated that servicing is only once a day and a specific time.

Overall, the hotel was quaint, centrally located and somewhat reasonable price. As long as you can look pass the rude staffs and horrible customer service. You will enjoy your stay here.

Room Tip: If you prefer a larger room, remember to reserve the deluxe room.
