Gorgeous neighborhood, well organized and clean. Close to a major hospital in the city. Many shops, restaurants, bakeries and markets surrounding the hotel. The metro is a 5 minute walk. The rooms have bathtubs, and good bathrooms. Air conditioning and good cleaning.

When travelling to Europe, I always have passions for hotels near train stations for convenience's sake. However, I didn't do so in Rome as my friends said the neighbourhood near Termini is unsafe. That made this hotel an ideal choice as it is located in a middle-class residential area (known from other reviews).

Yes, the rooms are quite small but clean. Free bottled water is provided every day.

Here comes to the point I want to advise other potential guests: Do make use of the bus route 62 which terminus is outside the post office near Bologna metro station. It can take you to tourist spots that are a bit remote from metro stations like Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and Piazza Venezia. Do consider this route if you are tired of the dark tunnels. Seats can be secured as you will board the bus at the first stop.

We picked a hot deal and this was not our first time in a Mercure. The room 408 was very good, with a balcony, fridge, ar conditioner and a double bed.
Air conditioner in Rome in August is imperative.
The room was not big, but very clean. The location is ok, a little far from the tourist spots, but with good commerce around. There is supermarket, bakery, bars and many other stores. I found the breakfast too expensive, considering that we were 2 people, it means around 150 Euros for breakfast after our stay. and also the Parking Lot, 25 Euro/Night, considering that I have payed 30 Euro/day for the rent of the car.
The staff was helpful. They have provided a very useful map of Rome and also arranged my transfer to the Airport.
I would definitively stay again at this Hotel, when they offer the same price

Room Tip: I guess they don´t have many rooms with balcony. If you like balconies, ask for the room 408. We hav...

This hotel is located near Piazza Bologna where there are tonnes of restaurants, cafes, shops, grocery stores, etc. It is also only a 5 min walk from the metro station from where most of Rome can be accessed conveniently. The first impression upon entering our room was that it was a bit small but well laid out. The colors of the tiles in the bathroom were a bit tacky.

There's a good Chinese restaurant right behind the hotel called Dragon D'Oro which served good food in case you're sick of the Italian food like we were. Overall a pleasant stay!
