When the Bed and Breakfast we had booked did not exist we walked cross the street to Hotel Taormina. We were lucky and they had 2 rooms available. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.
The Front office staff were all very professional and service minded.

The only negative would be the overall area where the hotel was located. Walking back to the hotel in the evening from the Metro Station is not something I recommend for a single person.

After I've read a lot of good reviews and saw a nice rating on Tripadvisor, we've booked a room here for our first trip to Italy and Rome. Even the price was bigger than in Vienna, Paris or London at 3 (three) stars hotels, we thought it will worth it.
I was not disappointed.....but we expected a little more. As someone already said, the surrounding area of the hotel is not quite nice but is almost the same "dirt" all over in Rome. The lobby is at the first floor, no elevator to reach here; in one side of the building is no elevator for the upper levels, so....to carry a big luggage will be a little" tricky". Our room was large enough for two, very clean, with a nice decorated bathroom but without any hanger (hook) for the towels or anything else, with a small sink that makes you sprinkle all around.
We had an weird problem with our window : sometimes we even asked each other if it is closed because we heard everything even when someone speak on the street not to say about the main street tram; the window was tigtly closed, so .....maybe something abnormal ?
The breakfast was poor and for the meat lovers ( or for those who eat very well in the morning ) it will be a big minus. Just bread, tea, coffee, juice, melted cheese, jams.
The guys at the front desk quite nice and helpful.
Ah, almost forgot about the nice, full of flowers ( but without anything to sit down ) courtyard.
You can reach the main attractions of Rome ( not Vatican ) in about 15-30 min, walk easily, or by bus, tram + bus, metro ( all with stops nearby the hotel).
As a coclusion.....remember the title of this review.

I don't know exactly what parameters tripadvisor uses to rate this hotel with four star. It's not worthy of even two star. we booked the hotel at Rs.9000/- per night. It was a waste of money. No lift. we had to fight with our luggage. Breakfast was only hard bread and juice. Not even basic items like milk and cereals. Rooms were tiny, beds were tinier. Light is very dim. They even charge for wifi though signal is very poor. Finding your room in a maze of turns and by-turns is a task in itself and no staff will come to help you. Area was also not good. I advice tripadvisor to reconsider their rating and not to make others fool. I'll never trust tripadvisor's ratings.

The hotel is great. The staff is very patient and very helpful. Breakfast could use improvement, all bread no fruit, but they had an expresso coffee maker that was good. The area leaves a lot to be desired. Very dirty, trash all over. If each merchant would pick up trash from in front of their establishment it would make a big difference,

My room was quite large to my surprise and the bathroom was adequate. I found it easy to get around. I was able to catch the lift, as m room was in another section of the building. If you I. The main building you must walk up stairs and that's difficult if you have lots of luggage.

You have to pay for WIFI one Euro a day. It served my needs daily.

I would recommend this hotel, just be aware of your surroundings and be careful. I had no problem, Gelato shop is a must go, best gelato in the city, surprised to see people standing in line.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has the lift

Before we travel we always check out the reviews knowing that lots will make complaints rather than say how good it was (then try reading between the lines). We had booked in for a 5 night city break in Rome (30 -Mar 4-Apr). The hotel is in good location within easy walking distance of the main Termini Station and the metro. There are also busses and trams that pass the door. The staff where very good and able to deal with any information requests. Our room (303) was clean and had the added bonus of a small balcony. The room was accessed not through the main hotel entrance but via a large door next to it. There was a lift in this part of the building. The room was cleaned and beds made daily with any used toiletries being replaced. To make use of the safe you have to get a key from reception and leave a 5 euro refundable deposit. Every one seems to make comment about breakfast. It was what it said it was, basically a continental style with really good bread, various jams and spreads with plenty of coffee and juice to kick start the day. The area did look a off bit of putting when we arrived with graffiti covering the shop fronts but in the morning when the shops where open most of the graffiti is hidden to revel a palette of different colours and many varied local shops not far from a wonderful indoor market a riot of colours ands smell selling all types of fruit, veg, fish and meat. We where able to use this hotel as a great starting point to visit all of Rome's top attractions using the easy to get to metro but also on foot a gentle walk to the Coliseum was about 20 -25 minutes. The staff where able to recommend a good restaurant for our evening meal and there where several others to choose from as well. Dont forget to try the Ice cream factory just up the road.
All in all the hotel is very good value for money in area suitable for exploring Rome and when we return (as we must because we threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain) we would stat here again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back maybe quieter.

The hotel is great - the stuff is friendly, always ready to help you and give you information you need.
It's nearby the center and also there is a subway station close to the hotel. The area is not so good because of there are a lot of immigrants and homeless people but we hadn't any problems.
The Wi-Fi is a little slow and it's paid.
The hotel generally is worth!

Fantastic Hotel. The price is unbeatable, offering new and very comfortable rooms. Breakfast is plentiful and range. And besides, the attention of the hotel staff is very nice. Being located in the neighborhood of Termini could be thought that location is an inconvenient, but the reality is that there are 2 metro stations nearby and even walking you can arrive very fast to the Coliseum area. We have walked through the neighborhood at night and did't had any problems. If we return to Rome soon, will be to this hotel.
