To commence with, i am very dissapointed by the services and the room the hotel provided to me. The room didn't look at all as the photos i saw on their site and defintely doesn't have the quality of a 4 stars hotel.

The tapisserie from the chairs was stained, the walls dirty and bathtube cracked and dirty. Also, the carpet was stained and very used.

The breakfast was poor for a 4 stars hotel. The only fresh fruit available was watermelon. The orange juice was concentrate and the coffee was from coffee machine not freshly brewed.

Moreover, the Manager of the hotel was impolite and he treated me without
professionalism when i asked how is the charging method for the airport shuttle and why there is not the exact amount of money per kilometer showed to me. The manager told me that i can take out my baggages and leave the hotel because in Italia, italians choose the tourists.

Also, when the driver waited for me to the airport, he didn't have any bagde or identification with his name and the name of the hotel.

The location of the hotel is very bad as well, far from the metro and with a lot of homeless people. Not a safe place to be during night hours.

All in all, i was very dissapointed and i will never ever recommend it to anybody.

went there with Travelsphere. Area very run down- the nearest eatery is a long depressing walk and you have to get through all the buses at the bus station! Only tw restaurants and one closed as it was August! The hotel has no restaurant. Service poor- there is a bar which is open if they can find someone to serve.! Rooms small-we had a family room and had no room to move around.

It was clean but that is the best that can be said. The streets around had lots of closed businesses and not just for August! Not to be recommended.

Room Tip: dont go there!

We stayed here at the start of a recent Trafalgar Tour of Italy. The room we had was the smallest one we had on our trip, but is was clean and it met our needs. There was a safe in our room to store our valuables. The breakfast was very nice...the yogurt and granola were delicious. There was no fresh fruit when we were there - only canned - that was a bit disappointing. Overall, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed our stay at the Pinewood. It is a bit away from main attractions in Rome, but I am sure these could be accessed by public transportation if needed. This hotel met our travel needs, but you should research if this hotel's location will meet your wants. We were pleased with this hotel, but we were part of a tour group.

The service was very good e.g. the staff were very friendly and willing to help out with all our needs.
The breakfast was quite nice and even though it hardly differed from day to day, there was enough choice to satisfy our appetites. The only hot food was scrambled eggs though, but there is a range of pastries, fresh fruit, breads, yoghurt and cereals.

Our roooms/suite was good, the ensuite bathroom was probably the best room - it was very clean and the shower was good. However, it was hard to turn on one of the televisions and the bathroom did not lock. We did not complain though as we were hardly in our room anyway. There is air conditioning available and that was extremely useful. We also had quite a spacious patio/terrace connected to our suite and that was nice to just sit and have a drink with some friends.

The hotel itself is not that far from the centre of rome as the Cornelia metro station is very closeby.

Overall, I did enjoy my stay at the hotel as it was reasonably priced and I would be willing to stay here again.

5 min`s walk from Metro Cornelia. Buffet breakfast is good. Our room was a bit small, but you don`t go to Rome to spend time in your hotel room. It is not close to city centre, you take the metro everywhere. But like I mentioned, it is 5min`s walk from Metro Cornelia. And you can catch a bus from the metro to the hotel if you really don`t feel like walking that 5 min. This hotel is good value for money and I`ll probably book there again when I go to Rome.

Room Tip: Don`t take a room facing the street.

We (3 adults) spent 3 nights at this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. We booked the standard triple room through Expedia, but upon the arrival at the hotel we were given the family room for 5 at no additional cost. The only discrepancy was that Expedia listed free WI-FI and when we arrived at the hotel we found out that there was a daily fee for internet. Our room was located on the main level, but it was surprisingly quiet and we could not hear any of the street traffic. The main reason we chose this hotel is because of the free parking. We had a rental car and almost all hotels in downtown Rome do not have any parking available. You can park on some of the streets at your own risk or spend 30-40 Euro at a garage that might not be even that close to the hotel.
The hotel is conveniently located close to Cornelia subway station and only 10 minute ride from Vatican. This part of the city does not look that nice, but it is safe and there are few nice restaurants, supermarkets and shops for your convenience.
The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. You can consume your own drinks at the lobby or in the garden.
Overall we had a positive experience and would likely return to this hotel on our next trip to Rome.

Stayed here as part of a Travelsphere holiday to Rome and Sorrento. The location of the hotel is fine and 10 mins from a metro station which can take you into the city. Rooms were ok but certainly not 4 star standard. They were small and facilities fairly basic. Basically a hotel catering for large groups - either tours like ours or school children groups. Drink prices were 4 star though!
