Stayed here recently, it was nice and pleasant. Location wise was a little bit out of the centre, but close enough if you are willing to walk and wanting to embrace all of Rome. Was clean and basic, with a comfy bed. The only couple of things worth mentioning is that wi fi didn't work, and for parking purposes it was a little difficult to find and also to find a 24hr car park close to.

We had the pleasure of spending 5 nights in May at this lovely boutique hotel. The location was very central, the room was clean and the service was excellent. Francesco recommended restaurants for our group of 8 which were excellent choices! He was also very helpful in booking various tours for our group as well as transportation to the airport. We will recommend this hotel to all our friends and would not hesitate in staying there again!

Everything about this hotel works for a business or leisure traveler. We will absolutely be back and tell all our American friends about it too - that's how highly we rate this hotel property. Great ambiance and a really good value. We've spent twice the money for less space, amenities and location. However, we found Residenza A by accident! We needed a well priced hotel close to the American Embassy. Yes, we were sudden victims of passport theft. A family member called the hotel the same day from the US to see if Residenza A had availability, and would they take a traveler without a passport. Fabrizio, an incredibly helpful staff member, took the reins. Yes, he would check-in the victim. (We were able to email a copy of the original passport - which all hoteliers need). Yes, he could help locate a place to get replacement passport photos taken. Sure, he said, go ahead and email the forms required for the Embassy the next morning - Fabrizio printed them out and had them waiting for us when we arrived just an hour later. And this was all done pronto! On the spot and without delay! The hotel was full, but he acted like we were the only ones needing his attention. Honestly, the day would have been a rough one without this level of service. Turns out that Fabrizio has been with the hotel, as has much of the staff, for more than twelve years. It shows in the reception area, in the rooms and at breakfast the next morning! Boutique feel, very comfortable rooms, with MACS and free internet access, and close to all the key Roman sites. Stay at this hotel. Best value we have found in YEARS of traveling to Rome! And all by accident! PS: I am a former international meeting planner for a large American corporation - my standards are ridiculously high, and no, nobody at the hotel asked me to post this review - my first for any hotel! It's just that good.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this boutique hotel. No more than a name on beside a front door buzzer - it opens out upstairs to present a pretty cool and well thought out boutique offering. All of the staff are really friendly and just generally good guys (including housekeeping). Good address with reallly nice short runs in the park next door (+/- 5 km criss-crossing circuits). I couldn't recommend it highly enough in terms of bang for your buck in Rome.

I spent last week end in Rome with my wife and stayed at this lovely boutique hotel.
Rooms are cozy, furnishing is cool, iMac with complimentary broadband internet connection and new led TV with Sky decoder (satellite channels), quality of cleaning is very high and we found the bed very comfortable.
Staff is absolutely efficient and professional, helpful and committed to make our stay the most pleasant as possible and we noticed they take good care for details.
The location is perfect, most attractions are at walking distance from Via Veneto and the hotel is about 400 yards from Barberini underground stop.
Highly recommended.

Breakfast is served at Doney restaurant which is almost next door, the type of ambience is very elegant and serves an exceptional breakfast included in the room rate.

I made a reservation at Residenza A to spend my vacation in Rome with my mother, in July 2012. According to the website of the establishment, it was a boutique hotel with charming rooms in a great location. Arriving there, despite having warned about my arrival time (12 pm), the room was not ready and we were put in a very small room, because it was the only way to use the restroom. When we went out for a walk, the recepcionist warned us that there is no one at the reception after 10 pm. Well, when we returned, it was 10:30 pm and we got stuck in the elevator until, finally, two guests arrived and helped us out. We climbed the stairs to the room and, when we got there, the entire bathroom was flooded. It should be noted that we had not even used the shower. Given this situation, we decided to cancel our reservation of 3 days and, since there was no one at reception, we spent the night and early in the morning, we asked to check out. The recepcionist wanted to charge us 3 nights - which was absurd, since we stayed the only 1 night - and still had to pay 2 nights (520 euros), plus the city tax 2 euros per day, per person, for two days, even for days we weren't hosted, after being stuck in the elevator and placed in a room where the bathroom floods. It is worth noting, too, that in the room, you can hear all the noise from the reception and also the street, since the Residenza A is on the second floor of the building. It was a bad experience and, fortunately, me and my mother found another hotel. I don't recommend Residenza A to anyone.

We were very surprised to receive this review after so long, from clients stayed here on July 2012, just because the passing of time does not allow to recall perfectly. I’m not discussing about the problem she had in the bathroom, which effectively there has been but it was nothing you couldn’t stop with a bath towel, it was just a small water loss from the wash basin; we need to refresh client’s memory because something she wrote do not correspond to the real facts.
The room she’s talking about is the one we planned to assign her, so the room was ready at their arrival as she required, even if check out time is 12, and as we do with all our guests checking in, we gave them all information about house rules, reception times and a city map, together with a folder containing Manager’s and staff’s personal numbers to call in case of emergency; not one of us has been contacted that night. We knew of the problem clients had in the morning; that they got stuck in the elevator we know it today by reading this review. We proposed to the clients a change of room, probably cause the unpleasant experience they had, they fell not very comfortable with us, so they preferred to leave.
It is true our receptionist charged the cost of 2 nights, but the client did not remember that the rate she booked was non refundable, so we could have charged all the 3 nights; she is totally unreal when she said she paid EUR 520 because the rate booked was EUR 120 per night, for the total amount of EUR 240. Maybe she made a little of confusion with hotels bills. Whenever she requires we can provide a copy of her credit card payment and receipt we issued.
Criticisms properly made by our guests are welcome, they help us to grow; but we can not accept untrue reviews made only to damage us!
Mr. Francesco Favaretto
