If you are looking for a no frills place to stay in Rome then you can't go far wrong with this place.

Relatively close to train station and good breakfast at a good price.

Staff were friendly enough too

We stayed here for a long weekend to explore Rome. Great location for us - we don't mind walking and thought it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Plus it was a three minute walk from the central train station which was extremely convenient. Breakfast was on the top floor and had great views from it's roof terrace, only serve continental breakfast but that was okay for us. Everything was clean, water was hot and staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend to others, only down side was that it was quite noisy outside but it is in the city centre so can't complain!

Room Tip: Lift isn't huge so don't choose a room on the highest floors as you don't want to carry...

Stayed here as part of Rome to amalfi 8 day intrepid holiday. First room on the 6 the floor avoid at all costs. The key to the front door is for magicians only. Had to get help from staff several times to open the door. Room is also very average. Had to ask for the remote for the aircon. However, at end do trip requested another room and it was lovely. Clean and tidy. Staff good. Breakfast muesli and prunes plus usual pastries. Would stay again but not on the sixth floor room!

Room Tip: Avoid the 6 the floor room. Wifi unstable too.

Very unimpressed with the room, but then the blandness of it would make you get out and explore Rome. Walls were paper thin, you could even hear the toilet flushing in the next room. The only highlight was the breakfast up on the top floor.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel if you can afford to do so

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Stella very much. The rooms are great - above my expectations - especially the single rooms. Breakfast was good and on a top floor terrace with beautiful views. The staff are friendly and helpful and very nice. The rates are extremely reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone who visits Rome. It is a few blocks from the main train station - Roma Termini - and easy to walk to with luggage. It is in a lovely neighbourhood near embassies and parks and good simple restaurants. I would stay again if I went to Rome.

Was in a great location - close to Metro and shopping and attractions. Lift was broken when we got there, not good when we arrived with 36 people and luggage. I was only on level 3 so wasn't too bad, but others in our group were on level 5 so had to carry there suitcases up heaps of flights of stairs. Breakfast was good, terrance was lovely with a view. Bathroom was ok, toilet was very loud to flush and sometimes didn't flush at all. Shower often flooded if you didn't keep an eye on it. Friendly reception. Room was ok size - nice to have all three proper beds rather than a camp bed.

The staff was friendly, the room was rather noisy from the corridor. The breakfast terrace is nice, it is well located next to the main railway station. It seems slightly old-fashioned. The toilet flush was extremely loud, maybe it was broken. I stayed in one of the single rooms.

Room Tip: the single room is rather small.
