My husband and I stayed 5 nights in the "Claudia" room. Friends recommended this B&B to us and we were not disappointed. Caesar House is located just steps away from the Forum and Colosseum and an easy walk from many other sites. We appreciated the free wifi. The breakfast fit our needs perfectly. There is a small fridge in the room with water and beer free for the taking. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. It felt as if we were staying with friends.

Learning from previous trips to Rome, we decided to stay in the middle of the historic district. The location of Caesar House is across the street from the Roman Forum and just a few steps to the Colosseum. There are many restaurants of different ethnicities, shops and gourmet markets nearby on Via Cavour. Buses are available across the street and the Metro Subway is just two blocks away. It's a ten minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, twenty minutes to the Spanish Steps and thirty to the Vatican---no car needed. The location is sublime.

The Caesar House is a bed and breakfast inn on the second floor of a renovated eighteenth century building. It has one suite, which we were lucky to get, and a several individual rooms. We enjoyed this venue for four days and were very satisfied. The suite was about six hundred square feet ( 60 square meters) with a separate living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. All conveniences were available for cooking but we only used the refrigerator to store the excess food from breakfast which turned out to be our lunch and snacks on several occasions. The rooms had 12 foot high ceilings which made them seem very spacious. There were many windows overlooking the Forum and Via Cavour. The location is incredible for sightseers.

Every morning we were served breakfast in our room at a large table overlooking the sights. There was a large choice of food for a Continental Breakfast. We had excellent healthy cereals, fresh baked croissants, boiled eggs, juices, steamed coffee and other choices, all of which were excellent.

All personnel, especially Rosanna, were extremely helpful and responsive. All arrangements for limo service were punctual and efficient. Staying here was more like being part of a family and like living in Roman and contemporary times instead of looking in from the outside. We will stay in this same suite on our next trip to Rome. We were glad we reserved the suite. There is only one and was well worth the extra cost. It was more like our own little home with Caesar House employees more like guests that help out with the work.

Room Tip: Take the suite if at all possible. It will be more like your own little house.

There was nothing missing from this wonderful hotel, located within walking distance of so many of Rome's must-see attractions and wonderful restaurants. The staff, starting with Rossana, was attentive and friendly. The room and bedding was spotless, bathroom very comfortable, and breakfast every morning very welcoming. We would return again!!!

Caesar House is in many ways a small 4 star hotel masquerading as a B&B !

Our room was clean, large with a high ceiling and the kingsize bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, served in the bedroom and proved to be a very pleasant way to start the day. We had some special medical needs, and the staff were excellent / did everything possible to facilitate us. The location is suberb ....the Roman Forum is within 100 metres, and most tourist sites are a 10 to 20 minute walk away. Local restaurants have good food at reasonable prices (we especially enjoyed the Trattoria da Valentino). Four glorious days ..... we'll be back. :)

Our party consisted of two couples so we could book the Suite with adjoining double bedroom giving us all access to a large lounge area and kitchen. Caesar House is in an excellent spot enabling all major sites to be reached on foot. A point worth remembering before you buy a Roma Pass with its use of public transport built into the price.
From the moment we booked the lady at Caesar House could not have been more helpful. Do take time to have a chat and take advantage of her local knowledge. We also discovered some wonderful restaurants I'm sure we would never had found without her advice.
Although on the busy Via Cavour the sound proofing is excellent so no worries about sleepless nights. A great find and one to which we hope to return.

Room Tip: The Suite comes with an excellent lounge and kitchen

As other reviewers have pointed out the location is excellent and the staff is very helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions. The room was very good sized and clean and the bathroom was very modern and large. We walked everywhere except to the Vatican because we slept late and had a tour at 10:00 A. M. The Vatican is probably a 20-30 minute walk, possibly only the Villa Borghese is as far away. The hotel is divided into two sections with a separate access door to each. In our section breakfast was served in a breakfast room- since there were four tables set every day I think that there were four rooms in this section. There was no refrigerator in our room but one was in the breakfast room with free soft drinks available. Apparently breakfast is brought to your room in the other section and there are refrigerators in each room. Although the room faced a very busy street- Via Cavour- it was very quiet- the windows must be new and sound resistant. As prices go in Rome this hotel was a very good buy.
A warning about phone calls in Rome- we had arranged to have a driver pick us up at the airport- the plane was a half hour early- we waited for 35 minutes and I called the hotel to see if he was coming with a credit card- very easy to use- there was some communication problems and the young man at the front desk told me to take a taxi so we did. We found out later the driver had arrived shortly after we left the airport but when I got home the phone call bill was forty-one dollars- the call was about three minutes. I knew that hotel calls with a credit card were expensive but I learned a new lesson here.
