“A good choice when in Rome”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

As other travellers have said, location can't be beaten, just a few (roman) steps from the Colosseo and the Forum. Very few, well appointed rooms, the standard one being on the smallish side. Don't be fooled by the entrance, because this hotel is located on the second floor of a private building. Breakfast is served in an another apartment on the same floor. Not your usual hotel, but a good and convenient choice when in Rome.

Spent a "special" birthday here in Rome. The room was lovely - large by European standards. The staff were always happy to help, give advice, offer recommendations. The position is really great and we didn't find the noise from the busy street a problem. Who wouldn't want to be able to walk a few meters to the end of the road where the Colosseum sat waiting to be explored? The special birthday celebrations were at a nearby rooftop restaurant with views of the Colosseum and surrounds, recommended by staff. We stayed two nights so we could go from Rome to Pompeii on the second day, which turned out really well. Close enough to walk places or take the Metro.

I and my wife stayed here in June of 2009 we found it through Tripadviser,we only stayed there 4 days,it was great. On our last day we were headed to a wedding in Tuscan I didn't want to take the train so I ask the owner of the hotel if she could find me a driver, after calling 3 different services she found me a driver, she spoke to him in Italian,he showed up in about an half hour(Ishould tell you that my wife got sick for one of the 4 days that we were there so we didn't get to see a couple things that we wanted to see)well any how the driver showed up and she talked to him for about 5 minutes the driver loaded our bag in the car and off we went for a 2 1/2 hour ride to the villa.Well the ride turned into a 6 hour trip, before we left Roma the driver took us to see what we had missed when my wife got sick,he took pictures for us and then on the way to the Villa our driver found a great little resteraunt to have lunch at.The place wasn't even open for business yet,but they opened it after our driver talked to the family that owned it for a couple minutes, the food was fabulous the wine was great. And 2 hours latter he got us to the Villa, what a great trip, thanks to the folks at Caeser House,,latter on this year my wife and I are headed back to Rome for 10 days, you guessed it we will be staying with the folks at The Caeser House

This hotel could not be in a better location. I am sure if one were to dig down below the foundation one might find part of the Roman Forum area it is that close. It is just down the street from the Coleseum. It is just around the corner from the Forums of Augustus and Trajan. It is not far from the King Emmanuel monument. Not a bad walk to the Pantheon. Very good restaurants only a few minutes or less walk.

The hotel itself is made up of only a few rooms on one floor of a building on a busy street (but I could not hear traffic noise in the room). The room was spacious, clean, modern. TV, AC, internet, bathroom was fine. Breakfast is served to the room. The hotel attendants are very responsive.

In summary, it may not be luxurious but it is well located and not basic at all. I was very pleased with this hotel and would gladly recommend to those I know.

Very freindly staff, quick to respond to questions, and care about your stay. We spent one night in the Caesar Hosue Residenze near the Collesium, and also a night in their self service-Apartment Navonna. Both hotel and apratment were very nice and comfortable. the apartment is about 200 feet from Piazza Navonna and is very unique. Its conveniently located within a 10-15 walk to vatican, Pantheon, and many other cool thigns to see in downtown rome.

Room Tip: Apartment Navonna is a wonderful 3 room apartment in a great area for minimal cost. Rossana and her...

This is the best place to stay in Rome! The location can't be beat, just a couple blocks from the colosseum & metro station. Rossana, Summy, Paol were great. They arranged earlier breakfast the days when we had to take early trains out of the city, recommended the best restaurants, always ready to help. A very personalized, nice & friendly place. Our family had two rooms, they were clean & spacious, great A/C! The bathrooms & showers were great as well, overall the best place we could have chosen to enjoy our stay in Rome!

I was a little concerned about the location but turns out is was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and there were enough restaurants and gelaterias around to keep the stomachs happy. The rooms might need some updating but the helpful staff (Rosanna especially) more than made up for any deficiencies in the room. The Nieds
