Easy walk from Termini. Great value for the price. Our room was immaculately clean. Breakfast was basic Italian style breakfast (a few pastries etc.) but if you're doing it right you had a huge dinner the night before and all you need is some great coffee anyway.

We spent two nights at Hotel Oceania and felt well taken care of. The positive experience starts with the staff including Cara, Radu, Roberto and owner Stephan. They were most accommodating with any requests we had. Our room was immaculate and beautifully decorated with a nice sized bathroom. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor but has a small lift. Breakfast was very good and if you are there during warm weather, you can dine on the balcony overlooking an atrium. The hotel location to convenient to the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish steps and we felt very comfortable walking at night. Wi-Fi was spotty. I highly recommend Hotel Oceania for your next trip to Rome.

We stayed at Hotel Oceania after reading Reviews on Tripadvisor. We were very happy. It was very close to Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and Pantheon, and 10 mins walk to Rome Termini. About 15 mins walk to the Colosseum. Good clothes and shoe shopping in the next street. Breakfast was good. Staff were excellent. There is a small lift or you can use the stairs. The hotel is on the 3rd floor. We would choose this hotel again if we came to Rome.

We just completed our stay at Hotel Oceania and highly recommend it! We rented two rooms, one a quad room for 2 adults, a teenager and a child and one a double for 2 adults and both were very nice and roomy. The large bathrooms and showers were welcome after two weeks of small European bathrooms and showers leading up to our stay. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and service oriented.

The hotel's location is close to major bus and metro lines and allows for easy access to the rest of the city. It is not super convenient to dining options as it is located in a governmental zone, but nice restaurants are located within a 4 to 5 block walking distance. The area seems very safe.

A couple of areas where the hotel has improvement opportunities:
1. The water temperature in the shower fluctuates widely whenever a toilet is flushed or other water is used. On several occasions, our shower water temp went from lukewarm to very hot (scalding?) and then to cold in just a few seconds. This was a bit annoying and could be resolved with some plumbing changes.

2. The internet wifi is free to all guests. This is a great service! However, the type of internet service that the hotel uses is severely limited in terms of bandwidth. The only time that we ever were able to get a satisfactorily fast connection (3G level of data access) was early in the morning when other users were asleep. Once the hotel guests were up, the wifi speed dropped to an almost unusable level. This could be resolved quite easily with an upgrade to the service used by the hotel.

Other than these 2 items, the Hotel Oceania is a great hotel choice for all types of travelers.

Room Tip: The courtyard facing rooms are quiet while the street facing rooms could get noisy. We had no probl...

This hotel is located within 10 minutes walking from the Rome Termini train station as well as 5 minutes from Via Nazionale and the metro stop. The staff couldn't be nicer, the breakfast is delicious and the rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. I would recommend this hotel to couples as well as single women traveling alone.

We have stayed at Hotel Oceania in the past, as recommended by Rick Steve. We love this hotel and its staff. They are very helpful in finding reservations, giving directions, and recommendations for places to eat (they were able to get us tickets to the Galleria Borghese on the same day which is a feat). The staff speaks English very well. They have had this hotel for many years and have expanded and updated it. It is on the third floor on the Via Firenze which has other businesses (and hotels) inside the building. It is a small hotel with bed and breakfast support. The rooms and hotel areas are very tidy, clean, and quiet. We loved hearing singers from the first floor during the day (they were not too loud). There are rooms off the street and off the courtyard area--both are quiet and comfortable. It is centrally located and within easy walking distance of sights and transportation. Parking can be found in a private garage not too far away for about 18-20 euros/night (I wouldn't leave your car in front on the street as people who live in the area "own" these spaces and might have your car towed if you do). We did double park while we unloaded and then moved it to the garage. You can walk up the three flights of stairs or take the small, quaint elevator to the hotel (remember to close the doors behind you). The cost was very effective as well for all the amenities you got.

Room Tip: Don't get the room right off the lobby because you will hear a lot of the business of the hotel...
