“B-day in Rome”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2014

I stayed @ Parker Hotel last week-end, from Friday to Sunday; it's a small hotel, located somewhere between Termini metro station and Victor Emanuelle Metro station. The area is pretty dodgy as train stations usually are but we did not have any incidents.
I did not particularly like the room, which was very small, but compensated with its cleanness; the bathrooms was very clean.
Also, one of the things I did not like much was breakfast which was pretty poor but I did not mind; I had rather go to the terraces in the centre of the city and grab a cup of coffee and a croissant or something.
All in all, for just two nights I can say I enjoyed my stay ! :)

Very clean (every day fresh towels), good breakfast (but without variety). Young and friendly staff and the door is open troughout all day and night because there is always a person in the reception. You must walk a little for the Termini but there are many stations for buses and train.

Room Tip: You should choose a room with window because the rooms are rather small.

Very clean and and comfortable room (not luxury but very good budget variant), calm place (if you sleep with closed window- there are tram rails on the street). Good breakfast (cheese, yogurt, bread, ham, cornflakes etc.). Don;t know about the AC (we didn't use it). The staff is young, very friendly and speak english.
15 min walk away from 2 subway station (Mazoni, Vittorio), 15-20 min walk to Central Train Station (Termini) but with luggage the walk is not so comfortable due to a poor pavement condition. A lot of restaurant and nearby (that we didn't try, but they look good). You can go by foot to Collosseum.
As for us we were very satisfied, may be only the location is a little far from the center.

We booked this hotel through priceline and after reading reviews, I was FREAKED OUT that we had made a gigantic mistake! It turns out that my fears were NOT warranted at all! It is true that the hotel is not terribly close to the Termini and that the rooms are fairly basic, but that is as far as I would say about the hotel in terms of negatives. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was satisfactory. As for noise, we always use a sound app on our phone while we sleep, so that helped drown out any unwanted noise from the trains. We find the sound app helpful for all hotels, not just this one. We were not frightened going out at night and in fact enjoyed a couple really nice outdoor dinners at nearby restaurants. It was a short 10 minute walk to the Metro subway system which we used several times.

If you are looking for a deluxe resort, go somewhere else. Rooms are basic and the shower was very, very small. If you want to experience Rome and save some money on your accommodations, you cannot go wrong with Hotel Parker. We enjoy walking, so it was no problem walking to the Metro or back to Termini. Relax and have a great trip!

Clean and comfortable room, with a/c & wifi access, nice breakfast with cheese & ham, yogurt, fruit juice, bread, etc. Friendly and helpful young receptionist at the date we arrived. The location is located at 15 mins walk distance from roma termini station. There are several great italian restaurant, a supermarket and pizza store nearby, would recommend travellers to utilize metro mazoni station which is far closer than termini station.

I didn't like Rome in general, but my stay at Hotel Parker didn't help things. First, it's not actually that close to Termini station if you're straddled with a couple of luggages. At night, the place around the hotel is unlit and scary. The hotel room itself is a closet and gives off the feeling of a shady motel. The staff are not friendly and hesitant to answer questions. The AC took forever to work, and if you're more than average size, it'll be a challenge to fit in the shower.

We stayed in The Parker for 3 nights B&B.The room was clean with ample draw and wardrobe space.Breakfast is served over a two hour period 7.45am-10am and was satisfactory. One downside to the hotel is the plumbing.Because of the layout of the rooms some have next doors toilet right behind their bed head and the flush pull makes a racket when going up and down(its actually two loud thuds)and as the couple next to us were both ill we could hear talking(thin walls)coughind and flushing for most of our first nights stay. My husband also made an enquiry at the reception desk and was advised that one of the staff would call our room. That call didnt materialise. On the who;e thopugh the staff were friendly, especiall at braekfast. Wouldnt visit again.
There is a lift.
