My wife and I stayed here during July, after arriving into Roma termini it was a short 5 cab ride (make sure you tell the cab driver not to take the tourist route!!). We were greeted with an amazing Italian reception the staff could not do enough to assist us. We were served complimentary coffee & shown to our rooms, given maps and explained how to escape the tourist traps and skip the lines for the colosseum and Vatican City. There is a tram (€6that leaves directly outside and heads straight into Rome. Happy 2 for 1, great continental breakfast with plenty of coffee. Also offer power adapters also. The rooms were very tidy, clean and the air conditioning was quiet for a great nights sleep. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Rome.

We have just spent a week in Rome to meet up with family from Canada. We all agree that we could not have found anywhere better suited to our needs. Typically Italian in style, the rooms are spotless and there is plenty of space to enjoy a drink and a chat. The manager and staff were amazing and made us feel so much at home, but also like honoured guests. Nothing was too much trouble and their sound advice on getting around Rome and their recommendations for eating out made our holiday all the more enjoyable. We highly recommend Villa San Lorenzo Maria and it will will definitely be the first number we call the next time we plan a trip to Rome.

This hotel is very comfortable and very clean. Linens are changed everyday.....and the continental breakfast is always warm. The kitchen staff Reynaldo and Lita are always ready w/ big smiles and cappuccino at the ready.

Antonio and his staff were so nice and helpful. Will even call a delivery for you.
Hotel location: Attractions (Colosseo, Galleria Borghessi, and the Vatican) are just a tram ride away. The hotel's vicinity is not so pretty because of graffiti but do not let that intimidate you....it is quiet and safe. Little grocery is literally next door to the hotel, and laundry mat is across the street (they will do the laundry for you, and you pick up the next day). Pizzeria is also across the street.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, friendly staff , fantastic location , found lovely restaurants close by , will be heading back to stay in a few weeks after our cruise. Free wifi in the rooms and if you can try and book a room with a balcony not many but they do seem to look rather quaint. I would highly recommend this hotel for its convenience and the lovely staff..

Room Tip: The rooms with the balconies look rather nice.

I have nothing but the best things to say about this hotel. It maybe a bit on the older side, but it is perfectly adequate for the few hours that you actually spend in your hotel room when you are on holiday. The location is a tad far outside the city centre, but the hotel is located right by a tram station that takes you into the centre.
The hotel gave us some great restaurant recommendations as well as advice on how best to see all the sites of the city (because there is alot of them).
Antonio was our guardian angel during our stay, it is a rarity to meet someone that does their job with such skill, pride and he went above and beyond every time!
On our last day in Rome, we had to squash in a trip to the Vatican and when we arrived back at the hotel to check-out, Antonio saw how flustered we were from the unrelenting heat and rush to get back that he sat us down in the bar in the lobby, gave us a bottle of water and proceeded to go online to find us trains to get to Florence.
He really saved the day when my boyfriend and I arrived at the train station in Rome to catch our train to Florence only to remember that we had left our digital camera at the hotel!
We called Antonio (he gave us his card and instructed us to call him anytime for any help, no matter where we were) and he sent a friend to the train station with our camera just in time for us to make our train.
If for no other reason, stay at this hotel because Antonio will be the best thing that ever happened to your trip - it became a running joke between my boyfriend and I, anytime there was a mishap of any kind, we joked that if we were in Rome, Antonio would be able to fix it.
