I arrived a little before lunchtime for my 1 night stay at Hotel Rafaello and was greeted warmly and offered refreshments whilst my room was prepared within 15 minutes. I was then guided to Room 510, one of the smallest rooms I stayed in whilst in Italy, however it was spotlessly clean, nicely appointed with a lovely rooftop aspect and heaps of natural light. Quiet air-conditioning, clean bathroom (although the shower may struggle to accommodate someone over 6 ft), no street noise and Wifi included.
The location is very central to Termini Station, approx 10 minutes walk and within 15 minutes of Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and approx 30 minutes walk to Villa Borghese Gardens. I stayed in another part of Rome during my travels and found in contrast this area to be not as picturesque and a little urban (the address is most fitting:), that being said, it definitely suited my purposes for a closely located hotel to the train station for an overnight stay.
As mentioned before, the service was warm, friendly and accommodating, it was no effort to print tickets (there is actually a sign with the email address for you to do just that) and the refreshments on arrival and breakfast were great, fabulous continental selection and lovely wait service.
All in all, I would definitely recommend the Hotel for short stays and those seeking something close to the main rail network.More
