“A mission to find but worth the effort”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

The studio was literally a 2 minute walk from where I was staying so it made sense that I would keep up with my yoga practice whilst away from home. Despite it's close proximity to my accommodation in Rome, it was still a nightmare to find! The studio is located at the end of a private and residential street and with absolutely no signage indicating it's presence, you'd be forgiven for not knowing it was there.
At 25 euros for a drop in class, it isn't cheap (to put things into perspective for an extra 3 euros I had an amazing 3 course meal and 250ml of white wine in one restaurant in Rome) but I was doing it for the experience and my love of the yoga.
Classes are offered in English but, being in Rome, I opted to do as the Romans do and deliberately attended a class in Italian, despite not speaking the language. The teacher was fantastic offering specific corrections and guidance to her students and given that I was the only foreigner in the class and not one of her regulars, I knew when she said in English "Go back, way back, more back, back, back....." or "drop your right shoulder down more" or "flex your heel" she was talking specifically to me and I really did appreciate her offering me corrections and encouragement in English even though it was a scheduled Italian dialogue class.
I really enjoyed practicing at this studio and would encourage any Bikram Yogi to attend at least one class if you're Rome and you have the opportunity to do so.
** Bikram Roma's website states that they offer a "Special 10 euro class Tuesday and Thursday 7am." Once there, I discovered there is no 7am Thursday on the timetable and it wasn't clear to me whether this "special" still applied to the Tuesday class.

“Overrated”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

So if you're into bikram yoga, this is pretty much your only option in Rome. If you are accustomed to going to bikram studios in the states.... Well let's just say, you won't really get your money's worth in Rome.

Teachers speak loudly right ouside the studio door before and after the class--- hello? Isn't it time for meditation???

There's one italian teacher with a crazy personality problem that always seems to be pissed off. She's almays sighing and making these crazy attitude faces.

People talk-- out loud in class and teachers turn on fans!! What? Aren't we paying for it to be hot?

Again, if you need a bikram fix, this is the only option, but if you're looking for good customer service as well--- keep on looking

“Great little studio”
Reviewed 10 July 2013 via mobile

Fantastic little studio just near the Vatican.. Got my bikram fix here after a 6 week break.. Great instructor and they have english classes too. Facilities are really good, free mats (difficult to refill your water in the bathrooms as sink is too small and i didnt see a water fountain). Only downside is that its 25 euros a class and 100 euro for 1 week unlimited. single sessions are almost double to what im used to paying at other studios around the world and i can usallt get a monthly pass for 100 euro in other studios. and they didnt have a 10 day intro pass like most studios have at a discounted price. While i love bikram and the studio, i think i'll hold out til i get to another city where its much cheaper
