While visiting Rome in mid-April, 2014 ( with my family of 8) we had the most enjoyable experience meeting Paola and Carlo, during their enchanted culinary class.. Their warmth and humor, their knowledge and professionalism in preparing authentic Italian food, and the
delightful meal we shared together, will be remembered and cherished for many years ahead.

Thank you, Paola and Carlo. You were wonderful.

having been on the road for a few weeks we were keen to try something different. We arranged at quite short notice do this class on our first day in Rome. Paulo and Carlo were great very responsive and welcoming. You start the day with a visit to the market and decide on what you want to cook. After purchasing ingredients and some stops at some local shops we went to the kitchen that is set with a view out on a busy piazza with one if the oldest Churches in Rome. We had a fantastic morning preparing food, talking, had a wonderful morning tea break and then sat down to much at about one. This was really a fantastic experience and a really good way to experience Italian culture. It was definately a highlight for us and was equally enjoyed by my 8 year old and non cook husband.

We planned a private cooking class with just our family of four, including kids aged 12 and 8. Carlo had planned a simple but hands-on, easily accessible meal that we all could participate in making. The class lasted about 3 1/2 hours (including the eating), but the kids were never bored, and we adults learned a great deal as well. (The menu included ravioli with ricotta and lemon zest, saltimbocca, Roman artichokes, and a fennel/orange/olive salad, followed by gelato.) It is a wonderful -- and delicious -- way to learn about a culture, and I would highly recommend it to other families or groups!

This was such an enjoyable day from the moment we met Paula and Carlo at the market. They are lots of fun and you feel as they are old friends from the moment you meet theml We shopped together at the outdoor market and then into little shops that looked as athought they had been there forever. What a surprise the cooking laboratory was! Totally modern stainless steel kitchen and work spaces and overlooking the Piazza of Trestevere where there just happened to be a Bavarian Band in full costome playing under the Byzantine mosaicsl The food preparation was very professional, yet at one's level to duplicate at home. Then a nice break with mortadella, cheese and wine. After the next dish of sea bass in paper and the gelato, we sat dine in the lovely dinning room with paintings of large vegetables on the walls and we savored what we had cooked during a lively discussion. I would do this again in a heartbeat.
