We stayed for 4 nights in April 2014 in the Easter week and have only great things to say about the hotel. When you enter it, you get a B&B kind of feel- very personal, very quiet and unlike a "regular" hotel. The room was everything we wanted from a hotel room in Rome- spacious, spotlessly clean and a very nice bathroom -very important for us :)

We got a room on the backside- away from the road- and we could keep the window open for ventilation/air without it being noisy.
There was a vending coffee machine in the reception area that we used for late night/morning cappuchino and it was really good.

Coming back to the hotel after a day of sightseeing, we were always greeted warmly by the receptionist Katalin and given great suggestions also- for food/sightseeing etc.

The location is wonderful- we didnt need to use public transport at all- and ended up walking to Trevi fountain (very close), Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Colosseum etc. Only needed the metro for Spanish steps and the Vatican city.

Finally, a big thank you to Katalin who was very warm, welcoming and gave the hotel a very "homely" feel. She really ensured that we will return to Consulta the next time we are in Rome.

We stayed here for 4 days and I can't say a bad thing about the hotel. Within walking distance of almost everything worth seeing in Rome and a great service. Rooms are better than most average hotels, they are clean, the beds are comfortable and the receptionists are all really nice. Outer rooms are a bit noisy due to the traffic in Via Nazionale, but it's barely noticeable. Though it doesn't have breakfast service, there are a ton of nice places around where you can eat and the room has a mini fridge which you can use at will. And, as a plus, it offers free wi-fi.

Room Tip: Rooms 105 to 108 have inside patio windows, which make them a little less noisy than 101 to 104, which have windows to Via Nazionale. But it's not really a problem since walls are thick and windows are good.

Booked this based on reviews from tripadvisor. No doubt great value and location. Hotel on first floor of buliding. I would probably describe facility as 'rooms' rather than 'hotel', but excellent nonetheless. Our room was very quiet, spotlessly clean and no noise from traffic at all. Outlook was over an inner area which was for generators etc, but it didn't matter. We were in the room for rest and revival after lots of walking, not views. Room had everything we needed. Fridge great addition. The room was modern and bed very comfortable. Bathrrom and shower great.
One small thing...Don't know if possible to have one TV channel in English? Maybe news?
The staff were so helpful. Nothing was a problem and great advice about good places to eat etc.
Thank you both.

Room Tip: Rm 107 no outlook [machinery etc] but really quiet. Front rooms overlooking street probably more noisy.

Nice location (close to main attractions of Rome), great reviews, big room and bathroom, elevator in the building. But...
The hotel has windows on the big and very noisy cobbled street, loaded from the early morning. Windows are thin and it makes you feel as if you were sleeping close to highway... On the other side doors to the room are thin as well, so you can here each and every single noise on the corridor...
In addition, the service seem not to be too much interested in your satisfaction. Really big dissapointment...

This hotel is a great location. Not only is the location great, but the host, Guerino, was delightful when he greeted us this evening. He gave us many locations and points of interest that would suit us. The rooms are spacious and very modern with all amenities including TV and large bathroom. Great location as in the heart of Rome and near many tourist destinations including the Colloseum.
