“Expensive and small but great location and polished.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 December 2012

Great location and friendly owner. But quite expensive. If you email the owner directly, he'll give you a discount because the online travel agencies take a cut. The entrance was really hard to find. The rooms were quite small as were the restrooms. But they were clean and felt high end enough so that we had a good time. They also have (clean) jacuzzi spas on the roof. We bought a variety of prosciutto and wine and enjoyed the view from up there on a couple nights.

This is a beautiful place to stay in the heart of Rome! Everything is close by and within walking distance.

The rooms are great, some with small balconies and there is definitely a touch of glamour everywhere! The atmosphere is relaxed and charming Antonio and his staff are very attentive-nothing is too much trouble! The roof top jacuzzi is amazing at any time of day but its perfect and very romantic after dark. A glass of bubbly whilst admiring the views of Rome is a perfect end to the day!

We thoroughly enjoyed our annivsary stay and Antonio even presented us with a gift on arrival to say congratulations. It's little touches like this that make this place special!

We will certainly recommend and look forward to staying again on our next visit!

Relais is a superb find in a brilliant area where you can get to all main sites easily by walking - campo di fiori, pantheon, Trevi fountain and coliseum are all nearby.

The staff are very friendly and attentive and Antonio was very kind and went the extra mile to make us happy - showing us the other rooms which were all superbly and individually decorated - he explained to us the history and area and is clearly very passionate about Rome!

The views from the terrace were breathtaking and two jacuzzis a perfect end to a hard days walking and touring this beautiful city! A perfect place to stay in Rome we will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this charming accommodation to friends, family or first timers to Rome!

I have struggled where to start with this review as there are so many good things to say about it but, I think the best thing about it is Antonio (the owner) and his staff. They could not do more to make our stay so perfect.
The rooms are decorated with flare and a touch of glamour and are spotlessly clean. The showers are a bit of fun and relaxing - ones private little disco!
Breakfast is lovely and can be taken up stairs on the roof top, on your balcony or in your bed.
The location is perfect for going off site seeing. The sites can be walked to in 10-15mins, except the Vatican Museum which takes 45mins (it looks closer on the map!)
The Jacuzzi is on for 24hrs a day, we spent most of our day in it! One day Antonio appeared and offered to bring us some bubbly while we sat in it, it was little gestures like that that made the stay extra special and relaxing. The views from the roof top are stunning.
We have been lucky enough to stay in some of the most beautiful hotels around the world and this now rates as our top hotel.
Many thanks Antonio for a wonderful stay

I can't say enough wonderful things about Relais Badoer. It was our slice of heaven in Rome!

The location couldn't be more perfect - close to everything and yet not in the crowds of the tourist spots. We stayed in the suite for 4 nights. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and stylish. The shower was amazing. The rooftop terrace was a perfect place to have breakfast to start our day and to rest our sore muscles in the jacuzzi at night. The views over the city are stunning.

Beyond such wonderful accommodations, Antonio and his staff make this place amazing. The service was impeccable. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. From making sure they had our favorites for breakfast, to recommending great restaurants for dinner to bringing my husband a beer in the jacuzzi at night - the service was fantastic.

Most notably, was Antonio's help getting medical attention for my son. We arrived in Rome with my son having a fever of 104*F/40*C. Antonio researched and found us a nearby tourist medical center. After a long afternoon experiencing the Italian medical system, I needed a pharmacy that was open on Saturday evening (the first 3 I went to were closed.) Again, Antonio searched to find us a pharmacy that was open, he called ahead to make sure they had what we needed and even offered to go buy the antibiotic for me - so that I could rest. Thankfully, the next morning the fever was gone and we could continue with our holiday. Without Antonio's help, I would have cut our trip short and brought my son back to the US.

Relais Badoer rates as one of the top places I have ever stayed. I have a few favorite places in this world... the Grand Case beach in St. Martin, Jackson Hole Wyoming, the rainforest in Costa Rica and now Relais Badoer in Rome.
Thank you, Antonio, for making our time in Rome so wonderful!

Where do we start? Antonio and the staff made us feel like movie stars our entire stay, we never wanted to leave!
We stayed here while on our honeymoon, and we were greeted by friendly faces and top service. We were upgraded to the suite and had French champagne and luxurious chocolates awaiting us :) the only place in Europe to do this for us after 6 weeks of travel.
The rooftop terrace at night time whilst relaxing in the Jacuzzi with our own music playing through the inbuilt surround system sipping on champagne will be a memory that will live with us forever. The atmosphere was indescribable, and the views breathtaking.
The Jaccuzi showers are worth a mention. They were a great novelty for us, it did take us about 15 minutes to work out how to use them but the experience was sensational! I have one on my Christmas wishlist!
The location for this hidden gem could not be more perfect, close to walk everywhere and also close to trams and busses.
I never got his name but the assistant was so friendly and efficient, the rooms were sparkling and nothing was too much trouble.
Thankyou so much for making Rome such an unforgettable experience. If the legend of Trevi Fountain is true, we will be back!

Arriving at the hotel I realized I've been given a suite that was not in condition to be used! No phone either with reception or external calls, no closet or even drawers, air conditioning NOT working well with 40 degrees temperature. When decided to leave due to bad conditions I was charged the 4 nights having stayed only one!!!!! On top of this the owner got angry. If he is not prepared to do his Job properly he must dedícate to something else.
