I decided to stay one night in this small hotel in the center of Rome since I found a very good rate. The position is fantastic if you are looking for a place close to most important touristic destinations in Rome. Via dell'Orso itself and the streets in the neighborough are really charming and you can find a lot of walking distant good restaurants.

The service is good, cheering at check in and smiling all the time.

The hotel is really new (or renewed recently) and this is appreciable. It is also very clean. The problem is that it is cold in every sense. The atmosphere of the room is a bit cold due to the ligthing and especially the heather was not effective at all and this prevented mefrom feeling confortable. It is also a bit noisy: even if Via dell'Orso is definitely quite in the night, the window are old and let every noise to come in.

For the rest the breakfast is quite basic, for example you expect to eat very good croissant (Cornetti) in Rome, I tried a couple but they were cold and not soft.

At the end I don't know if I will stay again

Dear Mr. Alberto,
thank you very much for spending your time in giving a feedback on our Hotel, it is very important for us, as it gives the opportunity to grow up and be more sensitive and careful on what our guests notice. First of all I really do apology for the inconvenient. Our Staff is available 24 hours a day, ready to satisfy your needs.I read with regret that the room we assigned you was cold, unfortunately we had no complaints about heating not working properly, otherwise we would have immediately taken action to solve the problem.
Regarding the noise from the street, as the hotel is in the city center, It happens, especially during the weekend that you feel a bit more noise than usual.
The Breakfast buffet includes: fresh croissants (they arrive 15 minutes before the breakfast time), fresh bread (four different kind), cakes (3 differnets kind), tart, a selection of cheese (four different kind), hot salami, salami, coocked ham, ham, mortadella, bresaola, eggs, cereals (three different kind), tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, fresh fruits, fruit salad, as well as an equally large things to drink like orange juice, Ace juice, selection of tea, cold milk, and finally the Nespresso Machine for a good italian/American coffee and cappuccino. So, it's on you to describe our buffet basic.
Hoping to have a feedback from you and to make you change your mind on your next stay (if you will give us the chance), I wish you a very Merry Christmas and HAppy New Year.

This elegant and comfortable hotel is very well located. The staff were curteous and friendly and made excellent suggestions that really increased our pleasure and decreased our frustration. What really set them apart was the help and support they gave when my traveling companion fell ill. Highly reccomended!

Cool modern slightly funky feel is how I would describe Excel Navona. Very personalised service with a good breakfast and welcome pastries and juice on your arrival. You can't beat the position being very central to all to see and do in Rome. A bonus is that you are also very close to parliament so there is a constant presence of law and order near the hotel. We felt very comfortable walking around that area at night after dinner and checking out the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain.

We originally only had an overnight stay booked at this hotel so that we could suss out the location first. The room we had on the first night was fabulous. One of their larger rooms that includes a sofa on the 3rd floor and looking out over the main entrance. Large bathroom...desk...Nespresso maker...plenty of room to feel comfortable and relax in for 4 or 5 days in Rome. When we decided to extend our stay unfortunately that room was booked. No big deal we thought but the next room was half the size. Still well furnished but with a slightly closed feel.

In the end it was okay as we were cramming a lot of things in over a 3 night stay. We didn't spend too much down time in the hotel. But if you are planning a 5 night stay in Rome (which is what we should have allowed for in our 3 month trip around Europe) then I would only recommend Excel Navona for you if you can book the larger room. In our 3 months of travel we have stayed in many hotels....it was certainly one of the smallest rooms. But all the furnishings and bathroom layout towels and sheets are lovely...inlcuding the nespresso for a late night coffee...so for a short stay then Excel Navona is a perfect option. Great location...personalised service.

One tip...the taxi trip from the train station is about €8. First taxis asked for a flat rate of €20. Make sure your driver just uses the meter.

We chose this hotel specifically for its location in Navona, an old area of Rome with narrow streets, but full of restaurants and away from the main tourist areas. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon and a 15-20 minute walk from the Spagna Metro Station. A half-hour walk across the Tevere (Tiber) and you're at the Vatican.
It's small (15 rooms), in an old building that appears to have been completely gutted and done over in a modern style. Rooms are nice-sized, and the bathroom blows away the usual U.S. hotel bathroom.....as well as some we've been in in Europe. It's equipped with a small, but very efficient elevator, and the front desk is manned all the time. All the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The dining room is quite nice, and large enough to accommodate virtually a full house. The breakfast buffet is quite up to European standards, and then some, with excellent variety (Note: this is NOT an American hot foods buffet). The coffee machine in the dining room is available at all hours, and the rooms are equipped with individual Nespresso machines, a nice touch.
The four-star rating was incurred because I believe that this hotel's normal rates are quite pricey. We got a non-cancellable Internet special that amounted to about US$150 per day, but the regular rate would have been more than twice that.

Room Tip: Rooms have shutters, and also internal modern windows, meaning street noise is not an issue. In this neighborhood, things quiet down a lot by 10 PM anyhow.

Hotel exceeded expectations. The location is perfect. Close to everything but slightly off the tourist path on a lovely quiet street. The rooms are very large, clean and nicely furnished. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice boutique hotel experience at an affordable price range.
