This was my second stay in is hotel, for business purpose. Facilities are very nice, the staff very pleasant and helpful and the area very convenient. A good location and nice and relax night. Despite the fact that my flight was very early and I had to leave at 6:00 am, i was able to grab a quick breakfast. One of my favourite hotel choice in Rome.

This was our first stop in Italy and we stayed here for 4 nights. We had a party of four, so we split off into 2 rooms. One room (on the 3rd floor) was facing the side alley, and one room (on the 4th floor) was facing Via Dell'Orso. Both rooms were quiet, and we slept with the windows open to let the nice Italian breeze flow through. There was only one night where the sounds of Via Dell'Orso woke us up, and that was due to the alarm at the jewellery store across the street sounding off at two different times that night. It is possible that it was burgled; but, if it was it surely didn't affect our trip in the least (apart from us being a bit tired the next day) - the area is incredibly safe, and the hotel is locked at all times (access is granted via your room key, or the individual at the front desk who will buzz you in).

As per the atmosphere of the rooms, I personally found the rooms a bit dark due to a lot of the darker wood tones used, but it wasn't a deterrent. The rooms are relatively spacious (I've heard/read horror stories of small rooms in Rome - this was not the case here, in my opinion). Besides, you don't go to Rome to stay in your hotel room...Regardless, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and bathrooms clean. Actually, I can say the rooms in general were very clean.

The Elevator was very small (only fits about 2 people, ideally without luggage, but you can squeeze it in, I'm sure) - so we took the stairs most times - even after a long day of walking - it wasn't so bad.

Breakfast in the lounge was pretty good as well. There is a toaster and some bread. Two people in our party were gluten-intolerant and found some gluten free (senza glutine) bread at the local Pharmacy (the Pharmacies are incredible for stuff like that - you don't see this in North American Pharmacies, that's for sure) and brought that to breakfast every morning. There were yoghurts, fruits, pastries, meats and cheeses, coffees and teas available. Not a "huge" selection, but given the size of the lounge and the fact that it came with the room, it was definitely all you really needed. There was one situation in which the breakfast lounge "overseer" regulated the number of fruits taken by the guests which we felt was a bit uncalled for (a mother wanted an extra banana to feed her young daughter, and apparently that was frowned upon). They had different staff each morning, so this never happened again to our knowledge.

As per the location, it's excellent. It is really easy to get to most landmarks either by foot or by taxi. Piazza Navona is only about a 5 minute walk, and it is the one place we visited the most as a result. There are a few restaurants nearby, and around Piazza Navona (though I would stay away from any of those, except the gellaterias - Grom is fantastic!).

Room Tip: Rooms off of Via Dell'Orso will be quieter compared to those on Via Dell'Orso. If noise is a...

Great location, just meters from Piazza Navona, walking distance to the Vatican, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Metro. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Have Nespresso capsules and coffee maker in the rooms. The street is very quiet and with good restaurants nearby.

as said already many good positive reviews. it was a great pleasure and luck to end up in this hotel.
location - splendid - just a couple of minutes off piazza Navona and in a quiet alley where not many cars pass.
hotel - looks relatively new and who did it up spent a great deal or time and money to give it a great style. lots of dedication in choosing the stuff and little things which make most difference such as the room as coffee machine (the good coffee type!)
staff - very helpful indeed
b'fast - small but very good

would definitely go back to this hotel whenever i'll be back in Rome!

Room Tip: try and check maybe if possible room not next to main AC compressor outside. in any case you'll...

The hotel is only 2 minute walk away from Piazza Navona, but is located in a small quiet street. It took us some effort to find it when we arrived late at night, but once we found out where we were we found the location was perfect. We basically walked everywhere, Vatican, Pantheon, Trevi, Spanish steps etc. Bus 87 takes you to Colosseum, but if you walk it's only 30 mins. Our room wasn't that big but it was very clean and the bed was comfortable, there was a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was great too. Staff were friendly and helpful. If I come back to Rome I'd stay here again.

Spent 4 nights at Excel Navona and were very happy with our stay. Loved the location in the old part of Rome. On a charming cobblestone street yet close to bustling Piazza Navona and within walking distance of most major attractions. Very nice hotel - modern decor, decent size room with updated bathroom, comfortable king bed. Coffee machine in room, though we had all the coffee we wanted at breakfast from commercial-sized Nespresso machine! Staff very helpful, especially Maria and Marco. Would defintely stay here again!
