“Good base for exploring Rome”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Firstly, the location is perfect.
Only a 5 minute walk to the ponte Sant'Angelo, with its angel statues, on the way to St Peter's and 5 minutes in the opposite direction to the Piazza Navona.
The area around the hotel is safe and vibrant with lots of wine bars, cafes and restaurants in the maze of surrounding streets. Lots of Romans enjoying the nightlife, so grab an outside table and watch the world go by.
HiSuiteRome has a traditional solid wooden door at street level, with a keypad entry system, then stone stairs up to the rooms. Our room was on two levels with a living room/kitchen downstairs and the en-suite bedroom upstairs. Well designed throughout, the kitchen has everything hidden away but close at hand and the bathroom is spacious with a good quality shower.
The bed was slightly hard but after the first night I slept well.
No breakfast is provided, but there are plenty of small local delis selling everything you need to make your own. There is both a kettle and Nespresso for coffee and tea. If you drink a lot bring your own pods and tea bags.
The living area has a bed settee, ideal for a family with older children.
It's not luxurious, but is comfortable, well finished to a good standard, with good household facilities and a great location.
I'd stay here again.

HiSuites is a very different version of your typical bed and breakfast! The rooms are brand new, decorated in a minimal and tasteful way, very large (ours was a two story, lofty-like room), everything running and working smoothly. There is a small kitchenette you can use and a mini bar, complimentary coffee and tea as well as basic bathroom amenities. Reception is available in the morning and in the afternoon and the ladies there are super accommodating and helpful. They can arrange transport from/to the airport and recommend places to see and eat. There is an option to order breakfast in your room from a nearby coffee shop although i thought it was a bit pricey (if you like a quick and cheap italian breakfast : turn right to via d avila and you will find via Governo: right next to trattoria Da Tonino there is a lovely coffee shop where you can get a cappuccino to go and extra delisious pastries for 2-3 euros)
The hotel's location is all too perfect if you wish to be right in the middle of everything (three minutes to Piazza Navona, five to the Pantheon and do forth). Abundant ristorantes, trattorias and caffes around, just keep in mind this is a highly touristic area of Rome, so choose wisely. You have chosen to stay in the most touristic district of one of the most touristic cities in the world, so you will have to put up with the occasional night time noise from the street but it's nothing too much (at least not in march!).

The perfect location for visiting Rome. Everyting is within walking discance. Denitza and laura were very friendly and helpfull. The taxi drive from the hotel (Armando) picked us up in the airport. Not to expensive, and very easy for a family with three children.
A few remarks about the location. (1) The apartment is located in a narrow street with a restaurant at the opposite of the street, resulting in a lot of noise in the evening. But probably this in inevitable in a crowed city as Rome. (2) there is a kitchen present in the apartment, but the kitchen is to small for cooking. OK for heating up in the microwave of make a cup of tea, but plenty of good restaurants in the neighborhood. (3) the apartment has no doors between the rooms (except bath rooms). So privacy is limited for bedroom noises.
In favor is the central location, the rooms were very clean, nicely modern decorated. All in all a place I would certainly advice.

Location - great base for sight seeing. Bus just around the corner from the hotel.

Service - second to none. We felt welcome every second of our stay until the second we left. As we were celebrating our honeymoon we even got a cookbook as a gift from the hotel. So very thoughtful. We were provided with all the information we required for restaurants and surrounds. We booked for the driver from the Rome station and to the station again. Definitely recommend you book it if you are new to Rome, small price to pay for an easy way to and from the station. Car ride takes about15-20mins pending on traffic. The car was brand new and the driver helped us with our bags both ways.

Facilities - suite had all we needed, comfy bed, split level with plenty of space, big bathroom. Only one minor thing, the shower stall floors could become slippery when the floor gets soapy. Perhaps management can insert some sort of non slip pad to prevent any unwanted slips. Cheap mini bar items, unlike most hotels that charge an arm and a leg. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel.

Note - the suites are one level up by stairs, I don't think there is a lift available so be mindful that it is not disable friendly. I believe the apartments are at street level.

We were two couples staying together for 3 nights. First we stayed for two nights, at the family apartment. It was on street level. Few meters from main hotel entrance. First bedroom was up the stairs and second down the stairs both beautifully furnished in a very modern manner. And a nice living room in the middle with kitchenette. Only down side: staircase which might be difficult for some people with disability We did not mind. Third night we had to move to a two seperate suites. One on the corner of the building. It was right opposite to the restaurant on the crossing alley whice made us hear noises until midnight. Again, we didn't really care, since we did not find it a nuisance. But if someone needs full silence than he should ask for main building apartment whice the other couple got, and whice was much quieter.
As for service. What can we say? We've had Mrs.Daniza taking such a good care of us. Amazingly good. She was wonderful : attentive caring and
With highest hospitality and service level! And than we also met one morning Laura whice literally went with us all around to find a nice place for breakfast whice followed our diet restricted orders for a vegetable salad... The location was the best we could have wanted. With the help of google maps we nevigated the small streets of the centro storico. It was such a wonderfull way to start the day and most magnificent one to end it...
when we came back in the evening, to find the restaurant lit candels and small fireplace for certain hit of outside sitters. We absolutely loved the place. And will certainly most highly recommend it to anyone heading the roman capital.

Just returned from a wonderful 4 day vacation staying at Hisuites in the historic centre of Rome. We arranged for the hotel driver to collect us at the airport, and he was there on time, with a smile.

40 mins drive and we arrived at the hotel, and thank goodness we didnt try and navigate there on public transport and on foot....its very difficult to find as the historic centre is truly a maze of narrow streets with few signs. Even with a map, navigating your way through the lanes is challenging and we used GPS on the phone several times over the 4 days

Dont let that put you off though as it a greal location for walking to all the key sites, and many good cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Piazza navonna is only 5 mins walk.

The welcome from the staff was excellent, and the service throughout our stay was second to none. Our suite was on 2 floors , with a small lounge with TV and kitchenette downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Very comfy king size bed, another TV and plenty of drawer and hanging space. Only downsides was some street noise at night as people wandered by but ear plugs helped, and we had difficulty getting the safe in the bedroom closed as it was faulty, but then fixed. Nice sized bathroom with a large walkin shower and hot water on demand.....excellent!

We didnt use the kitchen in the suite and walked out each day to local cafes for breakfasts.

If we go to Rome in the future, i would definately stay here again.
