Me and my girl friend had booked a different hotel (Hotel Piazza Venezia), but as we showed up the hotel was boarded up and nobody answered the doorphone and the telephone number was closed. Panic arose as we didn't know what to do.
I walked around trying to find out wheter or not the hotel was closed, and walked into Hotel Mancino.
Here I ran into the staff of the hotel that day. A guy named Renzo Ruzzo and another named Ivan. They where extremely helpful.
First when they found out that we only paid 80 euros a night which was a lot lower then their price they started looking for a different hotel. Meanwhile after 1 hr and a half on the phone (Hotel Mancino called them for me on their phone and got me to talk with the correct people) with hotels.com they offered a hotel 10 km outside of the city.
During this time Hotel Mancino offered a reduced price for their room 3 of the nights as they where fully booked one of the 4 nights. I got the money back from hotels.com and booked the nights at Hotel Mancino.
As My girlfriend and I went out to get some dinner, without us knowing, they started calling different hotels to find a available room for the one night we couldn't stay. Next morning we asked at the reception if they knew of any hotel, and they had found a hotel which they had ordered to hold back their last available room as we might want it. Once again at a reduced price.
Furthermore we used the tripadvisor app to find dinner but had a horrible experience. When we told Renzo Ruzzo he said he knew the good places and that we should talk to him. He then booked restaurants for us each night following our wishes of food quality and price. He even gave his buisness card with us to deliver to the chefs (which he knew by name) to make sure we got the best service possible.
So to conclude. The worst start to the holiday was saved by this hotel and by especially Renzo Ruzzo but also Ivan. Can nothing but recommend this hotel and staff.
