Hotel Mancino 12 is located in central location of Rome. Many sights, restaurant and shops are in walking distance. At the same time hotel is in quite street with almost no traffic. Hotel itself has been renovated and everything is new. We had a suite which basically has bedroom, bathroom and small sofa room connected with a corridor. If you have a large suitcase, you need to open it either on bed or take it to the sofa room floor, so it not too big suite really. There was also large private terrace for the room that could be accessed via both bedroom and sofa room. On terrace there was couple of chairs and a table. I have a feeling that it is working very well on hot summer days.

Level of service depends heavily on who happens to be on shift as there was only one person working at time. Darryl was very helpful and offered very good service while others had more a typical harsh Italian service approach.

We also had some problems with air condition which only offered +24C temperature when we arrived. Hotel arranged maintenance to fix it very promptly but then it was set to +19C as default when we were out of the room. They can change this from reception console if you happen to have knowing person on shift. At room you can also change the temperature +-3C from them the default temperature but only when you are at the room. Due the initial problems of air conditioning hotel offered us free breakfast for whole stay, so situation was very well handled.

Overall this is very good choice for your stay at Rome if you want to be at the center of the city.

For those who want to stay at a low cost hotel with all the comodities of a five star hotel you should go to Hotel Mancino 12. First of all, the location is perfect, it's near all the most important monuments. Second of all, all the staff was very friendly, specially Dharryl ( excuse my spelling), who helped me with tourist info etc. The room was always very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Do not hesitate to come to this hotel ( believe me I am a picky client) It is excellent. Great rooms, great hotel, great staff, excelent location, what else do you need?

This is a classy new hotel located just off Plaza Venezia. It is down a small street
so a little hard to find at first. Being new the decor is minimalist modern and nice.
I have read some negative comment on the breakfast but I can't agree. A good
coffee machine gives you whatever type you want accompanied by juice, pastries,
rolls, fruit, yogurt and cereal. But the best part of the hotel is the staff friendly,
helpful and professional. I cannot say enough about Darryl, Andrea, and Stefano.
We stayed 12 nights@ 135E.

Wonderful central location and quiet, which were main requirements. Clean and comfortable room with large double bed, excellent large shower. Staff fine & friendly.

Only issue was heat in the rooms as thermostat couldn't be adjusted much below preset values, which we found too hot for our tastes (but others may prefer!)

Mancino 12 is a small hotel, flanking Piazza Venezia. the only problem is that there is no guiding sign to tell you that and the police does not even know the street.
So please plan ahead of time your arrival. Skip breakfast - you will find better outside.
The rooms are nice and comfortable. A bit warm because of an obscure reason but you can open the windows. Free WiFi. Central location, within walking distance from practically everything (Roman forum, Colosseum, the important piazzas, Via del Corso, Monti etc.).
the big plus of this hotel is the front desk. We had intensive interactions with Darryl and one other guys I do not know his name. both were very friendly and helpful. full of knowledge and advice.
These guys made us feel like home and really helped us to extract the maximum of our stay here.
Thanks guys!

We will come back.

Room Tip: Use the front desk people - they will help you making the best of your stay.

The hotel staff are polite and friendly, helped us with directions and where to go visit with places to eat.

Hotel it self is in a perfect setting and we couldn't have asked for anything more!

The war museum and colosseum are a 30 second war and 10 min respectively, with the Trevi fountain and the heart of Rome on your doorstep
