“Another great rental from Dorothea”

This is our 2nd time renting from Dorothea. We rented her Paris apartment last Spring Break. She has the BEST locations for her apartments!!
We did not take advantage of the driver and got our own transportation from the airport(for a family of 4, it was cheaper). Upon arrival at the airport, I called Giorgio to meet us at the apartment with the keys. He was very polite and promptly met us on arrival at the apartment. As soon as we stepped through the large double green doors, we were very impressed. A short walk through the gorgeous courtyard and we were on our way to the 4th floor. Giorgio took his time with us explaining everything. He also assured us that if we needed anything to give him a call. He made some restaurant and gelato suggestions as well.
This apartment was very spacious for our family of 4. The Wi-Fi was a huge hit with us and we took full advantage of it every evening. The signal is not as strong in the back bedrooms. The bathroom was very spacious. The kitchen had everything you would need as well as a large fridge to keep our beverages cool.
The slipcovers on the couches were a bit of a pain and the couches themselves could be replaced. We spent several hours on them in the evenings planning out our itinerary for the following day. They are very uncomfortable:(
The beds were very comfortable. It is amazing how noisy the street is with chatter and music. But, when you are in the apartment, you can not hear a thing.
Thank you so much for opening up your apartment to us. We will most definitely rent from you again, hopefully your Amalfi place☺ We have already recommended you to many.
Thanks again!

“Close to everything, large, well decorated, fun”

This apartment is on the fourth floor (fifth for USA folks). Has a small but adequate elevator. Nicely decorated, so much so it feels like you are staying in a friends apartment. You pass thru some large green doors on the small street level, walk thru a beautiful garden area with a pond, thru another door and up the elevator to the fourth floor. Your door is very secure with a key that makes USA locks look foolish.

We felt very safe in the area, made friends with the local vendors and virtually walked everywhere. Trevi fountain is incredibly close, liquor store is to the right about 100feet across the street. Picollo Buco Restaurant is across from the liquor store and a grocery store is to the left about one block.

We did Rome for the second time on a tight budget. This apartment was a big factor.

We used a Google Android Nexus tablet with the downloadable google maps to get around. As well as the downloadable Tripadvisor App. The built in GPS shows your location and for cheap eats, that are incredible, all you do is ask what is near by and read the reviews. Naturally use your "gut feeling" when choosing a restaurant in addition to the App.

This apartment is a great find, the owner will arrange transportation to and from the airport on request. With four of us it was about the same as two taxis. But they greet you at the airport with your name on a sign, no confusion no problems. The picked us up in the middle of the night for our departure. An english speaking representative met us at the apartment. She was very helpful.

For americans you will find that Italians view coffee as expresso. There are several means of making expresso in the apartment. If you wish to emulate american coffee, just heat water on the stove and dilute it, it's quite good.

Wine is available at the liquor store and very inexpensive wine (better than California...sorry) is available at the grocery store.

For shopping walk thru the tunnel near the grocery store and you will be on Nationale Street. Great shopping area. Nice italian leather and styles we will see in the USA in about two years.

The only thing I ask is you don't book the apartment solid, so I can use it when I go back.

If this was helpful, please say so.
