We came in Rome with two children in the beginning of May, when weather so nice and blooming everywhere. We stayed in Al Centro Storico Roma Suite apt. for a week and it was beyond of our expectation. Owners of the apartment, Max and Lavinia, very nice, welcoming and hospitable people. They also help us to find another apartment in the same building for my husband’s parents when they decided to join us in Rome. Max met us in the apartment and he is very knowledgeable about Rome and he gave us the comprehensive information about the apartment, the neighborhood, the places to visit and eat, and both of them were always available by phone and willing to help at any time. Of the end of our first meeting Max gave us a tour of the surrounding area and he was very helpful to find for us great restaurant for late dinner.
The location is perfect, apartment is closed to everywhere. Just a few minutes to walk to the Vatican or to Piazza Navona and Parthenon.
The suite has a good size for 2 adults and 2 younger children. Very clean and functional, with good bathroom and washing machine in the kitchen.
Overall we are extremely happy with our choice and highly recommend everybody who chose this apartment for staying in Rome.

This was our third apartment rented on vacation. The first two were okay but the owners were both on vacation so no personal attention and we were worried. Lavinia met us at the front door and showed us in to the lovely apartment--two bedrooms, lovely living room, huge bathroom and a well stocked kitchen with all the basics to get us started in Rome-juice, croissants, cereal, tea. The apartment is old enough to be historical but with nice modern touches such as the big bathroom, modern windows, and air conditioning. Lavinia showed us how everything worked then sat down and showed us how to get to the store, the main attractions, and her big book of everything a tourist needs to know. The apartment was in a great location, walk to all the major sites from there. Felt very safe and not many stairs to climb at the end of the day. Definitely recommend this to others.

This two bedroom apartment is amazing! we arrived with a young baby in tow and it was spotlessly clean, and a baby cot was set up ready for us when we arrived. We actually arrived earlier than the check in time during pouring rain and Lavinia was nice enough to let us check in early.
It was the nicest accommodation we have stayed in, and the location is perfect. We could walk to everything including the Vatican city, Colosseum, and the Spanish Steps.
The apartment is in a very safe area with many restaurants and a supermarket just around the corner.
Lavinia the host was so lovely and even went out of her way to buy us a bed pillow for our young baby for the flight home as we had left ours in Paris - and then she refused to accept money for it and said it was a gift.
We will definitely be back to stay at Al Centro Storico Roma Suite when we come back to Italy.
thank you for making our trip wonderful!

Room Tip: perfect for families and suitable for young babies

Nothing but wonderful comments on our staying in Max and Lavinia appartment. Perfectly located, we moved through all the city walking, and with a baby! Lavinia was an amazing host, giving us all the info needed to move in Rome and much more. And also was very helpful with some doubts we had. The appartment was as shown in the web, comfortable, perfectly equiped and with details to make you feel at home. Hightly recommended, hope to be there again very soon!!

We stayed here in the 2-bedroom Suite Colosseo for three weeks from late April, early May 2014. We had relatives from Sweden come stay with us for a long weekend during our stay.

Everything is as beautifully decorated and clean as you see it in the pictures! Max and Lavinia have paid attention to all the visitors' needs and comforts of home. In a great neighborhood called Ponte and has prepared food like pizza, pasta etc ie: Tavola Calda, bakery, gelato and cafe bars right across the street. A supermercato is around the corner. Many restaurants close by. The farmer's market during the day and the early evening passiggiata at the Campo was our favorite people-watching spot.

The small (10 seats plus about 10 standing room), handy #116 electric bus with stop at Via Gulia nearby will take you on a thrilling, bouncy ride over ancient cobblestones to main attractions such as Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, across Via Del Corso over to Borghese Museum and Gardens. http://www.atac.roma.it/files/doc.asp?r=9

There is a binder provided with suggestions and maps showing restaurants, buses, and walking distances etc. Note: There is a one-bedroom is the same small foyer as the 2-Br. This area is locked from the main building hallway. You could have 2 family groups together and leave the front doors open to this foyer. Both apartments are one flight up a wide stairway. The is a uniformed porter on duty who lives in the building complex. Max works nearby and is quick to answer any questions or attend to any need.

There is a clothes washer on the apartment's utility balcony in the inner courtyard and a big drying rack. So handy to have as we travel with just a one week carry-on's worth of clothing! In the well-equiped kitchen is a four-burner gas stove top. (no oven) Mircowave, full refrigerator and dishwasher. The 2-sink bathroom is excellent with a walk-in shower.

Grazie Mille to Max and Livinia for an exceptional apartment!

Found this place through Trip Advisor. Glad I chose it because it didn't disappoint us at all!.
We travelled for the canonization weekend and stayed there for 3 days. The location is amazing (only 10 min. walk from the Vatican) and the suite very comfortable.
We stayed in the Vaticano Suite, -we were 1 couple and 1 friend- and we felt at home straight away!.
Lavinia arranged the transport for us from Fiumicino airport to the suite which was very handy because that weekend the city was packed with tourists!.
I highly recommend this place to stay. The service Massimo and Lavinia provide is just superb.
Hope we can come back soon!!!

This was an amazing place to stay and we felt so welcomed by Lavinia. The apartment is spacious and super clean and beautifully decorated. Every room in the apartment has large windows to let in the light and air. We were so comfortable staying here and it was close to everything. We walked to Vatican, Colosseum, Patheon, Piazza Navona, Forum and Camp de Fiori. The two bedrooms were great for our family since our teens each had their own bed. The bedrooms were separated from the living area by a small hallway with an extra door so those who wanted to sleep weren't bothered by those who wanted to be awake. There was no noise from the street as the windows faced onto courtyards and we all slept well in the comfortable beds. The dishwasher was great and all the amenities that we needed (utensils and pots) were available in the kitchen. A full sized fridge was extra nice. The breakfast food that was provided was much appreciated and there were basic food items provided as well (oil, vinegar, spices, ketchup, tea, coffee). Lavinia provided a booklet with complete instructions on how everything in the apartment operates and maps and directions to all the major tourist attractions. Also included in the booklet were directions to the nearest taxi stand, pharmacy, and grocery stores. My only wish was that we could have stayed longer.
