“Lovely appartment for a great vacation”

Our family was looking for a nice confortable appartment . We travelled with 2 kids (7 and 14) and wished to have at least two bedrooms . The apartment offerd by Chiara was great: location is perfect you are close to everything. Chiara was always on line guiding us at any issue . The appartment is fully equiped and you do not need to carry anything with you additionally. The only thing we had to adapt to it is old fashion shaower with curtain, however it was not a big issue for us. The apartment doe not has a parking place , however there is a big area nearby were you can park a car free of charge from 7 pm till 9 am. There is absolutely great tratoria place right next to the apartment and backery recommended by the owners. We recomend this appartment and would definately come back one day.

Great apartment close to everything. Chiara was wonderful everything from meeting us on arrival, organising private tours to forwarding on my daughters iPhone to the UK via DHL before we left to go home to Australia.

“Fine Homebase in Rome”
Reviewed 9 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

We just completed a lovely holiday stay at Elizabeth House with our adult son and daughter and it was a very fine accomodation for our group. The apartment is in a high quality older building and very spacious and well cared for, with two bathrooms and sparkling clean through out, with updated appliances in the full kitchen and attractive bathroom fittings, including double sinks, in the primary bathroom. The washer was very helpful! Beds were very comfortable and bedding was fresh and new. Furnishings were attractive, clean and modern with plenty of space and seating.

We received great support from Chiara and her friend who met and oriented us and were available by phone to field questions throughout our visit.

The apartment is on the 1st floor, 1 floor above ground level in Rome. For those with disabilities one might consider that there are several short staircases and a walk through the very nice interior courtyard before the entry stairway(which has a lift) is reached. We found the apartment quiet during our winter visit except for some occasional noises from the tenant overhead and of course the fireworks nearby on New Years Eve

We have stayed in a number of Rome neighborhoods and each has its benefits. This one has great proximity to transportation (a Metro B entrance in front of the building and Termini close by) and is few minutes from Monti and Via Cavour, and 10 min or so from the Colosseum.. Santa Maria Maggiore is at the end of the block and major museums and art churches, not to mention a "felina colonia" and a roman arch are nearby. The shopping was a bit spotty during our holiday season visit, although there are some fine shops (including Regoli for sicilian pastries and Roscioli for flat pizza and morning cornetti close by). There is an interesting south and east asian population in the area which is an interesting overlay and creates quite an unusual tone and non-italian food opportunities,

A couple hints - we blew a circuit and it took some time for husband to find the circuit breaker one morning - we had the oven the stove, the dishwasher and the hot water heater (for a shower) going at one time - when he turned on the microwave the whole place went dark. This is something to take care with. Also, while there is ample hot water, there are tricks which we did not learn. Ask Chiara how to manage this if you rent this apartment.

We all loved our visit here, and highly recommend1

“Very spacious and bright apartment - close to everything!”
Reviewed 6 December 2014 for a stay in September 2014

My husband and I were looking for a large apartment in Rome to spend 8 nights in September with our adult son who would be coming from New York. Originally, I contacted Chiara on another apartment and was offered the Elizabeth House. It was a true pleasure working with Chiara on making all the arrangements for the apartment, booking airport transfers and various city tours. Her English is excellent and she was always prompt with her replies.
The apartment worked great for us! We had plenty of space; the kitchen was well equipped, the full bathroom was large, good size bedrooms and beautiful living room where we relaxed on a sofa after a long day of sightseeing. We really enjoyed the fact that apartment had a very high ceilings and tons of natural light. Because both bedrooms and the kitchen are facing the courtyard, the apartment was very quiet and stayed cool even on the hot/humid day.
The location of the apartment was equally great! It’s about 10 min walk to the Termini train station. It made very convenient for us to catch an early morning train to Naples. The supermarket, pharmacy, ATM, both bus and Metro stops just a few min walk.
Chiara was a great host! She was very helpful with all our requests. She provided us with the list of great restaurants and on some occasions even assisted with making reservations. We were provided with a local cell phone, which was very convenient and economical.
Both my husband and I visited all the important sites in Rome in the past, but to have Chiara as our private tour guide was a wonderful experience for all three of us! She is very knowledgeable, energetic and very passionate about her amazing city.
We are looking forward to our next stay at the Elizabeth House and would definitely recommend to our friends and relatives!

“Cool, spacious Rome apartment with charming owner/landlady”
Reviewed 4 November 2014 for a stay in March 2014

I stayed here with my two brothers on a trip to see England v Italy in the 6 Nations Rugby. It's a cool, very spacious apartment for the discerning visitor (i.e. no stag weekenders!). Chiara, the owner/landlady had excellent English and was super-helpful and reliable - both via email and in person. I'd definitely stay here again if visiting Rome. Price also pretty reasonable. Strongly recommended!

“Very good for Family with Children, but not for light Sleepers.”
Reviewed 9 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We stayed for 3 nights in early October. Chiata the manager met us on time and was extremely helpful. Her English is very strong, and she works as a tour guide (with PHD in art history) which shows in the quality of the guest info book provided. One of the most comprehensive we have encountered. We traveled with a preschooler, and the apt is ideally set up for this age group. Our daughter loved the puzzles and Italian kids books on hand. The apt is of a high standard, and pretty much as advertised. Right in the heart of a cosmopolitan district, the front room street views give you a real slice of life. Our only concern was the noise. Yes, the front room picks up all the road bustle, but the bedrooms are at the rear so not a concern. However, there was a lot of noise from the residents in the internal quadrangle. This is the way the locals live, but there was a lot of noise up to midnight each night. Also the sound insulation between floors is not great. The is also Subway rumble until midnight each night. I really wanted to give this 5 stars, but it wasn't as quiet as advertised. The other quirk was risk of power overload, so advised not to have too many appliances running... Overall a very high standard for Rome, but be prepared to be immersed in your neighbours nightly bustle.

“A great place to stay in Rome”

The appartment was bigger than expected. Very clean, with everything for breakfast (coffe, tea), and to prepare lunch (pasta, oil, salt,...). We had a warm welcome, with all informations needed for the appartment and the neighborhood (bakery, restaurant, supermarket) and of course to visit the city.
Really everything was perfect, and the location is very good (close to the main train/metro/bus station).
