Some of the reviews on this place seem to set a pretty high standard on a place the only holds itself out to be a trattoria, not some gastronomic adventure. It is one of 4 in close proximity, and we picked it for 3 reasons - 1 the menu looked good and the prices were okay; 2 the host was fun; and 3 the outside chairs were on the side of the lane that was out of the sun on a warm summer night.
My wife and I picked the lobster linguine, and the kids picked pasta and pizza. The linguine was great, with a small half lobster accompanying the pasta, along with various instruments to remove the meat. The kid enjoyed their meals as well.
The host was lots of fun (holding himself out to be Al Pacino and also entertaining us with his attempt at an Aussie accent). We also enjoyed a couple of local guys with a guitar and an accordion who played for us.
It was a good dinner at a good price and we enjoyed it. Take it for what it is and have a good night.
