We reserved a room at this bed and breakfast in march and there were absolutely no reviews about it so we were kind of scared about what it would be like.

First of all, they only accept cash, and you have to pay when you get there: the price for the number of nights you are staying there, plus a 2€ tax per night per person. When we got there, I didn't know how they would find us, seeing as it's just an apartment they probably rent, but right when we got to the door we were supposed to wait at, a woman showed up, the wife of the owner of our B&B, who had been drinking a coffee near the B&B, so we had no wait at all. (we had told her we would be there between 1 and 3pm and we arrived there at around 1:30pm). She was very nice but did not speak very well english, although she spoke fluent Portuguese (and Italian of course).
The apartment was on the third story of the building. There are three rooms altogether, and one shared bathroom. The room we stayed in was very simple: one bed, two chairs, a tv that we could not plug in so very useless, and a refrigerator (we had to move it to use it, only one plug in the whole room which is really too bad. Also, while searching for a plug, i found out that our room was separated from our neighbors only by a plastic board that could be moved really easily, so I was not very pleased about that because the hole between our rooms was huge ! A person could easily pass through it. And I found in the cupboard in the entry two keys that anyone in the B&B could have used that opened up our bedroom!!! So we kept all our valuable belongings on us at all times, but I don't think our neighbors, tourists just like us, would have stolen any of our belonging). And finally, the bathroom was really horrible, the toilet was very noisy and leaky, and the shower was tiny, with the water either being too cold or too warm ! The whole bathroom would be all gross anytime someone would take a shower because there was no real shower curtain to keep the water from spraying everywhere... And it was annoying when we in the morning we all wanted to use the bathroom. But for the price we paid (54€ per night for two people), it was really perfect, we cannot complain.

Moreover, this is really a B&B, unlike some other B&B's in Rome (from what I read in other reviews) because they gave us this little red ticket (one for each person) so that every morning we could go to this little café just two blocks away where we could choose one drink (coffee, cappucino or milk) and one pastry (we went there at 7am one morning, opening time, and they had a lot of choices like a huge donut or huge croissant with chocolate).

Finally, the location of this B&B was perfect, just 5 min walking distance from the metro station (which is what we used to move around the whole time), and a tram also passed not even a minute away! And the San Giovanni was also right there in front of us! This hotel is perfect for students who, like us, want to travel but not spend too much. Minimum comfort but it was fine, we have nothing to complain about.
