“simple, clean, comfortable for a very good price”
Reviewed 20 May 2013

We stayed there for 3 nights and we liked Casa Santa Rosa very much, just the location... Rooms are simple, but clean, with everything you need. Breakfast is also simple - cereals, yogurts, pastry, croissants... nice sweet breakfast :-) The nuns are very nice and helpful, they can speak a little bit english or french or spanish. The only problem here might be the location - its like 30mins from the centre, but u can never know exactly how long u gonna wait for a bus, so it might make your trip a bit more complicated... If you have a car and you dont expect any luxury accommodation, then we definatelly recommend Casa Santa Rosa! if you dont have a car, its also not a big deal, but rather prepare yourself for spending more time on the transport... But also here the nuns can help you - they can provide you with a map, schedule of the buses, they can even sell you the bus tickets, and arrange a nice and cheaper taxi for you to go to the airport. The taxi from the airport is very expensive - 60EUR fixed price, doesnt matter where you go, but if you arrive in the evening, rather take it, because otherwise your journey to Santa Rosa might take almost 2hours (but if you want to try it, here is the way: shuttle bus to the Termini station, then metro A to station Cornelia and there you have to find a bus stop where you can take bus 906 to the stop Pescaccio - the bus stop at Cornelia is quite difficult to find and the buses are running like every half an hour). Also one advice - you cant buy the bus ticket in the bus, only in the metro station.

Comfortable beds and clean room. Good value. Excellent shower with a strong flow of water. The breakfast is simple but good. The sisters are very kind, always giving information and tips to the guests. The only problem is that there is only one bus line to take you to the city.

We stayed here for four days when we came to explore Rome. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very standard, but we just wanted to be filled up for our touring. We liked the gate that kept our car safe. It was the middle of winter so it was very quiet. We liked it a lot. It is a nice, simple, easy place.

The place is friendly, clean and has all the essentials. The nuns are very friendly and efficient. Rooms are large, clean and have all the essentials you expect, heating, TV, clean and comfortable beds.
Nice breakfast - terrible coffee.
The location is away from the city, but if you have a car, it's no big deal. Parking available free.
Prices are reasonable.
Definitely recommended.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night only before our flight home I picked it mainly for the price and for its location to Fiumicino airport; it is run by nuns but is run very well just like any other hotel. It’s quite hard to find even with a satnav (basically when you come off the motorway and get onto “Via Del Pescaccio” it’s at the top of the road with about 8 big bins on the road outside) it has a large grey security gate on it with an intercom.
We parked around the back and were welcomed by a very pleasant Nun who booked us in (we paid in advance for this hotel but still had to pay the 2% city tax) and showed us to our rooms, the rooms were very clean and adequate for the price we paid both had aircon (it was very old but it worked well) and a good bathroom, may have found it a bit basic if we had stayed more than 1 night.
They have a small room at the back of the hotel with a few vending machines in serving coffee (not nice) soft drinks and a few snacks they have a lovely area behind this room where you can sit and it was very nice with nice views.
The breakfast is served in the dining room (07:00–08:30hrs) which is around the back near the car park so you have to go outside to get to it, it’s a normal continental breakfast of bread, jam, coffee & cereal all ok.
Entry to the hotel is though a security gate which is good makes you feel safe and they have plenty of parking at the rear
They have a set of rules which each guest must adhere to (just like any other hotel) many people have written about the rule that they lock the doors at 23:00hrs, well yes they do but the did tell us that if we were going to be any later not to buzz the intercom but to ring the phone number. My main issue was that you had to be out of the room by 09:30hrs which is quite early.
It was a very clean and welcoming hotel which I would use again if I was getting a flight from Fiumicino airport.

Room Tip: Room 102 was slightly bigger than room 106 but it looked out over the front gate
