This is a lovely spacious apartment with large bedrooms and comfortable beds, although the living area is a little small, and it has a well equipped kitchen. There is also a superb balcony which, unfortunately, as it was March we were unable to make much use of, but in warmer weather it would be ideal. The location was fantastic as we were able to walk to several of the sites quite easily: Collosseum, Palatine Hill, Forum, Baths of Caracalla, Circus Masimo . The Metro was only five minutes away if we wanted to travel further and was quite easy and cheap to use.
The best thing about this booking was Luisa who is an excellent host. She always replied very quickly to my e-mails before we arrived and was there to meet us on arrival. We had hired a car and she had saved us a parking space in front of the building which was much appreciated. She had also left us some foodstuffs to start us off and kept us in touch with events such as the clocks going forward and the transport strike which we would not have know about. Luisa also left us some cakes as a treat for us on Father's Day! Finally she came to say goodbye to us when we left. She is the best host we have had and we would thoroughly recommend this property
Excellent location for walking and using the Metro. The Colosseum is an easy 20 min walk, the nearest Metro is a 5 min walk and is very user friendly. The supermarket is just around the corner and there are many good restaurants close by. The area is quiet at night. The apartment is well appointed, the bedrooms are large with comfortable beds, 2 of the bedrooms having doors out to the large balcony. The kitchen is well equipped. Luisa (the owner) is more than ready to give any assistance needed from arranging a drive from and to the airport, organizing a fantastic day in Pompeii complete with a very friendly driver and a knowledgeable guide and she is easily accessible on social media for any needs. Sitting out on the balcony in the evening was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again.
The location was amazing!! Walking distance to so many of Rome's wonderful past and to the beginning of our history. Our rental was perfect for the 6 of us!! The balcony overlooks some of the city. Would definitely visit again. We could see the Cathedral of st John from our balcony. This is where the Pope lived many many years ago before the Vatican was built.
Louisa is the most amazing host. She followed our flight from home and knew when we arrived at the airport. She made all arrangements for our driver, Gabrielle, and for our tour guide,Franco. We arrived at the airport and Gabrielle was there to meet us. We arrived at our rental and Louisa was there to meet us!! After we rested a bit, Louisa came to our house and took us on a tour of Rome that was within walking distance. She showed us great places to eat, small grocery store, and where to find the necessities we might need.
The next morning she was there with Gabrielle and Franco. She introduced us to Franco and saw us off for our day of touring. Franco was amazing!!! He is an historian and also part time archeologist. His knowledge is unbelievable.
All during the day, Louisa would text us to make sure we were enjoying our tour. She met us at the end of our tour and told us of a wonderful restaurant to go and eat.
Our second day of touring, she was there with Franco and Gabrielle to see us off. This day was devoted to the Vatican. Franco found out the week before we arrived that the Pope was going to make an unannounced speech in St Peter's square. He got us in early and we were about 10 ft from the Pope when he was driven around the Square to meet the people.
I cannot say enough wonderful praises for Gabrielle and Franco for showing us their wonderful city.
We were headed to the cruise port on our 3rd day and again Louisa went out of her way to go with us to make sure we arrived at our ship.
After our 10 day cruise, she and Gabrielle were there to pick us up at the port and to take us to the villa we had rented on the Mediterranean Sea. Louis was also the one who got us hooked up with the person who owns the villa.
Our flight was delayed and wonderful Louisa was keeping track of our flight delays from home and was there to help any way she could.
Louisa, Gabrielle and Franco made our trip to Rome and the Greek Isles a trip of a life time. We have made 3 wonderful friends in Rome.
Spacious and well equipped with lovely large balcony overlooking the basilica. Metro, buses, taxis and supermarket on the doorstep. Ideal base for the six of us whilst touring around the city. Luisa is a star. Offering information before we had even arrived and available for help/suggestions throughout the week via social media. Would definitely recommend. Fabulous week.
We had a great time in Rome. The apartment is very close to the San Giovanni subway station and to the very convenient bus stops for lines 81 and 87. Lots of good restaurants nearby and a small market on the same block.
The apartment was very clean, 3 bedrooms have air conditioning while the fourth doesn't. The kitchen is not modern but functional. The outdoor terrace with a canopy is nice, offers protection from the sun and a direct view to the cathedral.
The 3 bathrooms are tiny as is often the case in Europe.
I recommend this apartment for big families, 3 queen size beds and two twin beds.
This home was perfect for our dual vacationing families. It is walking distance from the Collosseum. In addition, the metro station was so close that it made all events easily accessible. The house was lovely and the neighborhood nice. It kept us cool during our hot and humid stay in Rome. The view from the porch was beautiful. The washing machine helped as well. Thank you Luisa for your help with everything from meeting us at the train station to arranging our taxi ride to the airport. We would highly recommend this rental.
A group of eight adults traveling together stayed in the heart of Rome overlooking The Arch Cathedral Basicilica of St John Lateran. The oldest Basiclia in the world.
The apartment was a large four bedroom, three bathrooms, comfortable space with a wonderful spacious balcony for outdoor dining on the fifth floor. This is rare to find in Rome.
Close to transport, Metro , taxis, and bused all around. Dining all close by. Convince store just up the road. Comfortable secure building. Well equipped kinchen.
Louisa our host was so good, could not do enough to help us.
We would highly recommend this apartment.
