This is one of my favourite hotels in Rome - location is superb - 3 minutes walk from Spanish Steps, but is is located in a very quiet place off the main street. Good and helpful staff. Breakfast is delicious. Unfortunately, rooms are tiny, but it is common for Europe.

Room Tip: Ask for bigger room

Dear guest,
the Hotel Manfredi is situated just one block from the Spanish Steps and is very close to the most important sites in Rome, like Collosseo, Fontana di Trevi , Piazza del Popolo, Vaticano and Fori Romani. All the staff is always at your disposal to give to you all the information that you need to live Rome in a good way. The Hotel Manfredi is situated into an old build and all rooms have the same amenities. Just the space inside is different. Beautiful hotel in a 7th Century building. Via Margutta is definitely one of the most beautiful streets we came across in Rome. The location is great too - a cosy, small street hidden away from the craziness of the Via Del Corso area, yet so conveniently near it. Also very close to the Spanish Steps! We avoided a lot of the crowds by going there in the mornings as we headed out.

Rooms were small but cosy and still comfortable. A number of the rooms are on the 3rd floor, together with the reception and breakfast areas, so it's very convenient. However they have some newer rooms on the 2nd floor that are not as convenient, but, well, newer.

Overall the whole place was very comfortable, quite luxurious. Service was pretty good too, very nice and helpful staff.

Oh and the hot chocolate they serve at breakfast is divine.

My boyfriend and myself stayed here aug 2013 and had one of the best hotel experiences yet. The room was beautiful and kept to a very high standard. Air-con was amazing. Staff were a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of all tourist attractions and right in the middle of the main shopping area. Breakfast was an absolute treat here. Only thing was the shower was that high tech, we couldnt figure out how to work it correctly and as a result flooded the bathroom while showering. (If you get a room with one of these showers make sure to ask how to use it). Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Rome

I highly recommend the Hotel Manfredi Suites by the Spanish Steps. It is on a quiet street, yet not far from the action which is the best of both worlds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything worked and our rooms were very clean. The daily breakfast was the best we had while in Italy for 13 nights. The waiter made perfect decaf café lattes for me daily. The breakfast is so hearty with everything you could ever want. No need for lunch! The waitress was so nice and made friendly conversation with us. The movies were free and in English. We stayed at a few other hotels while traveling in Italy, and the Manfredi Suite was by far our favorite. They treated us like kings. We were so happy to return for the second part of our stay. When our flights were cancelled, the front desk lady personally helped me on their office computer. If you want luxury, quiet, delicious breakfast, quality sleep, comfortable and beautiful rooms, you will find it at the Manfredi Suites. We will only stay there next time we are in Rome. Excellent luxury at its best!

We stayed at the Hotel Manfredi the first three nights of January. We had a fabulous stay. We were greeted warmly and the hotel staff was accommodating and friendly throughout our stay. We stayed in the Margutta Suite, which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We were traveling with two small children and the hotel provided two Pack-and-Play style cribs and arranged a baby sitter. We chose this suite because it offered a sitting room, as well as a decent size bedroom. The rooms weren't divided by a door, as we had hoped. The doorway between the two rooms were open, but this wasn't a problem. Our children still slept fine, even though we stayed up much later than they did. The location is excellent, very close to the Spanish Steps and within walking distance to many popular attractions. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed their coffee very much. There are also many good restaurants and cafes in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

We visited Rome in mid of November, for the first time. Even though it rained a lot, it did not stop us having a wonderful experience. Menfredi Suite is a little gem "hiding" on Via Margutta street.

The location: Superb! It's near Spanish Steps, with walking distance to all major tourist attractions (15 to 20 minutes walk) as well as Vatican City (25 to 35 minutes walk). It's enticingly located in a high end shopping district. Ladies, be prepared :-) . Via Margutta is a quiet and beautiful street, occupied with charming residential buildings, galleries, antique shops and boutique stores. Manfredi Suite is on the 3rd floor of a residential building, which I like. It's a cool experience to stay where local people live. The main entrance door is locked after 7 pm, so you need to ring the door bell to get in afterwards. We did not have any problem getting in during late hours.

The room: We stayed in 3 different rooms and all were very clean, cozy, nicely decorated, with modern bathroom. The standard room is very small, so if you travel as a couple or a family, I would recommend to get at least a superior room, or even deluxe.

The breakfast: great choices of pastries, cakes, meat, egg, fruits, milk, coffee, juice and tea. Their homemade yogurt is my favorite. Also, I believe the pastries are fresh from oven every morning. Two thumbs up.

The service: very friendly and helpful staff. They are more than willing to answer your questions and provide you some practical advice about getting around the city. We had a little incident on the second stay when they had to close a third of the rooms due to some emergent repairs, hence the superior room we booked was unavailable. They gave us a standard room which was very small. Unfortunately, the toilet was dysfunctional even after they tried to repair it a couple times. It was a night of inconvenience. But, to be fair, they did try to compensate by putting us in their biggest room (King Suite) for the following night. Except for this one episode, our stay was very pleasant.

Conclusion: for its location and service, Manfredi Suite is a hotel with great value. It will provide a great boutique hotel experience in Rome. Definitely worth to recommend to other visitors.

One side note: most travel articles and books would suggest not to visit Rome in November due to rainy season. However, against all odds we went and could not be happier. Most of time the rain happened in evenings. There was no crowd nor long waiting lines in any major tourist sites. We explored the eternal city at our own pace. Lovely, lovely experience.
