Very friendly, clean and well located hotel.

The room was small, but it had all the facilities you need.

We were only staying the one night, arriving late and leaving early. So no need for it to be anything else than it was. Had to leave early so didn't have breakfast.

We really enjoyed our staying at Novecento - the hotel is close to the metro station and you can get really fast to the city center. The room was cozy, we even had a nice balcony. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

3 star, but very inexpensive for its class. very clean, nice rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. close to the metro for easy access to transportation. had a room with a terrace that was bigger than the room itself and some nice views.

I made my booking based on reviews and photos online. Rooms look much bigger in the photos than in reality. Our room was very tiny, but clean and well conditioned. I would've prefered to have more towels in the bathroom. Very average looking hotel but affordable and great location ( only 1 minute away from metro station). The breakfast was not good at all! After the first day I decided to make my own shopping for breakfast and have it in their cafeteria with the coffee they served( the only good option in their breakfast). The receptionist were the best feature of this hotel, very polite and helpful. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience mostly because it was a clean space ( which matters to me most in terms of accomedation)

We stayed in this hotel for 5 days, it was not a pleasant experience. When we checked in to the hotel the front desk person requested that we paid for our 3 rooms/5 nights immediately in cash, as their credit card machine was not working. The shower in our room completely flooded our bathroom every time we took a shower, as there was no barrier between the shower and the floor to keep the water in the shower. The A/C was working, but only periodically. It seemed that it was turned off during the night, only allowing the rooms to be cooled in the afternoon. We asked several times during our stay to speak to the owner of the hotel, but we were told the owner was not available to speak to anyone.

We had a bad experience at this hotel. One of our family members had some of her valuable belongings stolen by someone working at the hotel. We told the front desk staff, but they said that it had never happened at the hotel and that the cleaning staff had been with them for 20 years and they trusted them 100%. This was a very strange thing to say since we noticed that many of the girls working in the hotel could not be more than 22-23 years old.

The staff was uncooperative, bordering on hostile. They refused to contact the owner of the hotel, denied us access to their phone when we asked to call the police and basically told us that we were lying about the whole thing. The next day one of our other family members noticed that someone had opened her bag and looked inside while we were out looking at the city. She noticed this as she made sure her bag was zipped closed. Nothing was stolen, but someone was clearly looking through her belongings looking for valuables to take.

Not sure if the problem is that the front desk staff is incompetent or if they share in whatever the people who have access to the rooms are stealing. Either way, it turned out to be a terrible experience and we recommend you find a different hotel. If this happens to you, or it has happened during a previous stay we recommend you file a police claim and pursue it.

The website makes the hotel look much better than it really is. However, it's quite inexpensive and in a pretty good location. It's farther from the Colosseum than it looks, but it's very close to the Metro stop, which was a very nice convenience.

We had two rooms, one a double and the other a triple. As one of my friends said, "you couldn't even swing a cat" in the double. The rooms were small, the bathrooms even smaller. A big part of the bathroom was taken up with the bidet - I don't get that at all, why wouldn't you want to wash your whole body, rather than just the bottom. They did provide enough towels and they were nice towels at that. There was plenty of hot water and the shower pressure was very good.

The breakfast was a bit spartan, and by day three we were all tired of the identical selection of yogurt, bread and pastries. The bread was pretty good, but the pastries did not taste very fresh. The coffee, however, was outstanding. Whoever was in charge of making coffee was really good at it!

The staff was very kind and courteous and they all spoke English.

The plus was that it's on a very quiet street, no scooter and car noise. Also, the rooms are air conditioned which was huge because it was in the mid-90s when we were there. The one downside was the first night when the A/C stopped working. However, they did get it fixed and it worked really well for the next two nights.

I think it's probably a typical three star European hotel. We wouldn't stay here again, but were fine with the stay we had.
