There is not one good thing about this hotel. The room numbering system is the most confusing ever. You will have no clue where or what floor your room is on unless you have prior knowledge or help. The smallest elevators ever fit only 2 items(Either 1 person with 1 suitcase or 2 people with no suitcases). My walk in closet at home (it's not that big) is bigger than the room we got and several others I saw that other members of our tour group got. There is no place anywhere in the room or bathroom that 2 people could pass each other without squishing together. There is no chair anywhere because there is no room.. A chair could not fit between the bed and the wall. It might fit at end of bed but you then could not walk around the bed to one side The only place to put suitcases are on the bed or out side on the small balcony (which also had no chairs). Thank God we were only there one night because there was no place to put half of what was in our 24" suitcases. We put one suitcase in the bathtub (which was only 4') and the other on top of the bidet. We then could not get the AC to work but we were stuck because they had no other rooms. Since the room is so small the TV is mounted from the ceiling which 9' high. The only way we could have watched TV if we wanted to was to lay down on the bed because you would have to look up at ceiling if you tried to watch while sitting on the edge of the bed. We also saw pictures of rooms on website but no one in our tour group that had 25 rooms had a room close to the ones on he website. The only good comments I can make is that we saw no bugs, of the 4 hotels we stayed at they had the best breakfast buffet, and the small refrigerator mini bar had by far the best selection.

Room Tip: There no good rooms. Spend a few dollars more to get a room that is fit (size wise) for 2 people at...

When I saw their Facebook web page I was pleasantly surprised. Then everything went pair shaped.
Firstly the hotel was a fair distance from the main sights of Rome. The hotel front was run down. The entrance was reasonable.
Finding the room was a nightmare. A rabbit warren with corridors turning in all directions. My room number was 144. Little did I know I had to take a lift 3x3ft to the fourth floor.
When I entered the room I was dumbfounded! There was barely enough room for a single bed, a cupboard and a small table with minibar underneath it.
When I opened the bathroom the bath tub was barely 2x4ft. When you sat on the toilet you couldn't close the door.
When I turned the TV on the picture quality was such that you couldn't watch the TV. Despite advertising cable TV you could only get a handful of channels.
I was expecting a call re hotel pick up to the airport. When I enquired at reception they were rude and unhelpful.
The air conditioner didn't work properly. The remote buttons were not active.
I cannot tell you how disappointed I was in this hotel. Please do not stay here. Pay a little more and stay near the main attractions.
I'd love to post pics of my so called "room" but I do not know how to do this.

Our stay in Hotel Club House Roma was really great. Hotel is located only 5 minutes by walk from the metro stop Cornelia - red line going directly to city center. Only 3 stops from Vatican. Hotel is very clean, rooms very nice with a very comfortable bed. Nice choice of bathroom amenities. Hotel offers a great choice for breakfast - full american buffet style. Staff was very professional and helpful during whole stay. I can highly recommend this hotel to everybody who wants to explore Rome. I will chose this hotel for my next stay in Rome as well.

stayed at this hotel for a city break lovely clean hotel but a bit dated in some areas. Breakfasts ok room for improvement. Bar and bar snacks available. Close to Metro Cornelia which is handy for sightseeing. 4 stops to Vatican which took 5 mins from boarding Metro. Staff friendly and helpful. Free use of safe in rooms where most hotels charge. Make sure you save euros as they charge tourist tax at 3 euros pp pn when you check out. This should be done at check in really.

All in all a pleasant stay in this wonderful city.

We stayed here as a family, got a single room for my son and another for us. My son's room which is a single room is extremely small, you can barely walk around.Ours is ok. Their breakfast is ok .In general,it is dirty!!!!,carpet has a lot so stain both in the hallway and the rooms.Walls has a lot of marking, furniture are outdated. This hotel needs remodelling.Definitely not a four star!!!! Walls are thin that you could hear your neighbors when they flush the toilet.

Room Tip: Would not recommend at all.

We were a party of 3 females, each staying in different rooms. Two of us had booked single rooms. These were on the 2nd floor. The rooms were small, but absolutely fine for 1 person, with a double bed in each, and balconies. The 3rd room was booked as a double, and was spacious. The bedrooms & ensuites were spotlessly clean, with crisp white bedlinen and soft white towels. These were changed daily. Breakfast was excellent, with a good range of cakes and pastries, cold meats, cheese, cereals, fruit, eggs, and a hot dish.
The downside was that the rooms are noisy, both from traffic, dogs barking, rubbish collections after midnight, and sounds from adjoining rooms. Extra glazing and better soundproofing of walls would make this so much better.
We dealt with several members of staff manning the reception desk. Two slightly older men with dark/greying hair and glasses were very helpful and friendly. A younger man with bald head we found to be quite abrupt, unhelpful and almost disinterested to the point of being rude. Female members of staff were polite and helpful, as were the porters.
Location was fairly good, with a few restaurants nearby and within walking distance to Cornelia Metro and Bus stops.

To summarise, I would say that Club House Roma is quite good value, but I would describe it as 3 stars rather than 4.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my husband. Rooms are so so small there is barely room to walk around. When we first arrived we had to ask for another room as the first one smelled of sewage. The man on the desk reluctantly changed the room, he initially told me I'd booked an economy room so I promptly reminded him that the hotel was suppose to be 4 star and an economy room didn't mean that the room smelling of sewage was acceptable. The carpet Ian the room was grubby, rooms are well cleaned, abut over all the a hotel is tired and In need of a deep clean and refurb. the walls are so thin you can hear neighbours having a conversation. Breakfast was fine with a good choice. We couldn't get any ice until a the bar opened at 6pm, so if it's a hot day and you'd like an ice cold drink, I suggest ya foam Bauhaus some ice from the local supermarket. We found a fantastic restaurant called gustasando which was great. Quality food, very reasonably priced and always busy. My second time visiting Rome, the first time I stayed in NH hotel carpegna, very similarly a priced and a 'real 4 star' also a walking distance to Vatican . Wish I'd stayed there again. Would certainly not stay here again.
