We stayed in the Smart Hotel for 4 nights. The service was the best aspect of the hotel - rooms were extremely clean and modern and no request was too much. We brought back a small bottle of Prosecco for our room and the hotel waiter provided us with champagne flutes, ice bucket and even called the lift for us.
Only downside is the area which is not the most attractive part of Rome. However, we could walk to all the attractions or Termini Station is 2 mins across the road for the Metro or bus.
Avoid the large cafe/restaurant called Pasticerria just up the road - gelato and food v average and massively overpriced. Would highly recommend getting the H bus from Termini to Trastevere for more authentic Roman fare and a lively night out.

We enjoyed our stay at the Smart hotel.

The hotel is well located in walking distance to the main Termini station in Rome. The station has access to trains across Rome, direct buses from Campiono airport and all the hop on hop off tour buses start here. If you plan to use Rome as a base to travel around then this is ideal. However if you are just visiting Rome for a few days, its very easy to walk around and we would have preferred a hotel more centrally located nearer the river.

The hotel is very clean and has a modern look. It feels new, but we did find it needs to be maintained in order to remain attractive. Small things like bathroom doors not closing, stains on the carpet and loose plug sockets all need attention, but this didn't spoil our stay. The shower is small but powerful. Breakfast is included and they have a selection of hot (bread, eggs and bacon) and cold (cereal/cheeses/fruit). Not the extensive range but definitely a great start to the day.

The best part of the hotel is its great staff, they are always happy to help and really get to know the guests! A huge thank you to Nilu that always had a big smile to great us and finding me a charger! I would stay here again.

The hotel located extrame close to Termini main train station of Rome as long as metro lines. Very helpful staff and pleasant. Excellent breakfast and joyfull space. 2 dissadvantages, the lack of actual windows, at least in hour room, and the toilet door doesnt give you enough privacy. Addittionaly, the voice of the cantral aircodionion system is annoying when the moter starts.Very good wifi. Helpful staff. Central Location and overall a modern minimalistic option. I would stay again!!

We stayed for 3 nights on our honeymoon. We arrived early so the room wasn't ready but staff took our bags and checked us in ready for later on so we went off on a walk and had lunch to pass some time. We returned to the hotel at check in time to be given the wrong room key, we actually walked into an occupied room oops
Our room was clean and tidy with funky headboard lighting, wet room and seperate toilet . The room had a smart tv, free wifi and a mini bar. The room was cleaned daily and toiletries provided, as you enter the room air freshener sprays automatically. The hotel is modern and funky, staff were pleasant and breakfast buffet had a great selection of fresh food. Evening meal was very expensive so we skipped this and dined out locally, we never actually saw anyone eating during our stay. The hotel is close to the Termini and in easy reach of main tourist attractions, we took a cab to the vatican for €11 which we thought was quite cheap. If we returned to Rome we would use this hotel again.

I traveled to Rome this summer on vacation and stayed at the Smart Hotel. The location was not as good as I hoped, but close to a subway so it all worked out. Rome only has two rail lines so it's not hard to find your way around. The hotel was very clean, staff was curious, and they tried to accommodate any requests. The breakfast, if included with your room, is well worth it! They will even make you an expresso or tea to order. The rooms are very modern and efficient. The only thing I didn't like is there is no business center for print documents etc. I guess I am used to that with even the budget motels in the States.

There is a grocery store just across the street to pick up items for drinks and snacks and there is also a pharmacy very close by. The choices of restaurants are limited, so eat out before you head back to this area for the evening. Travel tip: Remember that many local restaurants only accept cash so ask if they take credit cards before being seated.

Overall it is clean, nice, and affordable.

For those traveling by train, the location is excellent, just 2 - 5 minutes walk from the Termini Station (use pedestrian mall short cut beside BNL, through block to go straight to hotel front door). Also great for those doing bus tour of city, as tour can be joined at Termini. For those not doing bus tour, it is a bit of a walk to most major historic sites in city (bout 30 - 40 mins).
Hotel itself is nice. Room compact, as to expected in Europe, but nicely designed and well appointed. Stayed in deluxe room, so had a bit more space and a view of the square.
Theme of hotel is technology based, but that was probably the weakest aspect. Touch buttons for lifts were not very responsive; free personal wifi for room was great once set up, but broadband with WIFI and TV was also down for half a day during stay.
Breakfast was included and was average, but not great.
Staff were extremely friendly, and as helpful as possible.
Would stay again.

The hotel is perfectly located, just a 5 minute walk from Termini train station. The hotel is clean, modern and seems newly renovated. Lovely contemporary decor. The mattress and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and each room offers an interactive 42 inch TV with internet connection. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful with whatever we inquired about and requested. I highly recommend this hotel!
