“get confused using the audio aguide”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

we booked on line ahead of our visit which was really important - recommend that you do this - whilst the gallery was interesting we hired an audio guide which basically guided through the rooms but starting from the old entrance which was on a different floor - they basically need to update the audio guide to reflect the new route through the gallery

“Sublime art guarded by thugs”
Reviewed 8 June 2014 via mobile

Beautiful collection of spectacular pieces by re known masters as well as other lesser artist in a gem of a palace. Far more impressive, in my opinion, than Vatican because the number of visitors is restricted and traffic regulated which allows for leisure viewing. Apollo and Daphne is truly breathtaking. Now, be prepared to be abused, insulted, condescended by the staff at galleria Borghese. I presented my prepurchased tickets to the one and only person checking in all those in the 9 to 11 viewing and she was pissed because evidently one must bring copy of the invoice as well - almost dismissed me expecting I would walk away - good thing I'm from New York. The person where one checks in personal belongings mumbled something about what may be brought in and what may not before grabbing my bag and tossing the check my way. There were no brochures in English (needles to say many English speakers in the crowd), when someone asked, they just pointed at the stack where everyone had already looked. The people at the coffee shop, by far the nicest of the bunch, make very good coffee. Enjoy.

“Stand out experience”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

A homage to Bernini, Caravaggio and other leading artists of the Renaissance, as well as a stunning building within the Borghese park. Book before you come on your trip or you will miss this extraordinary feast for the eyes. You get 2 hours to do your viewing, and the numbers of visitors are strictly controlled so you do get to wander at your own pace and to stop and see whatever you want to stop and see without a shuffling crowd getting in the way. Buy the audio guide if you don't know the pieces and paintings, it has been carefully made to fit the allotted time with enough space for you to admire each room (and its ceiling) happily.

A true highlight in the city.
