I had a very pleasant experience in this hotel. The owner Alberta couldn’t be more helpful. I even forgot a belt in the Hotel and she put in the mail and sent it back to my home. The rooms are big; the Hotel is quit and very cozy and it is extremely clean.

Our last morning in Rome comprised a morning tour ending near the Colosseum around 1pm. We had to gather our luggage and then catch a train at Termini Station departing shortly thereafter. We chose Hotel Paba given it's proximity to the Colosseum and recommendation in Rick Steve's guide. Worked out well. Alberta stored our luggage in the main foyer and helped us get a cab to the station. She also served us the best croissants we had tasted in our entire 3 weeks in Europe. Paid 100 Euros per night which was great.

We were a party of 8 friends and family in Rome for a week, and we stayed at Hotel Paba after reading a review from Rick Steve's, and seeing nothing but glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. the hotel is small, and we took advantage of it being off season to reserve 4 rooms. The hotel is on Via Cavour, a few blocks from the colloseum and the forum, with plenty of dining options close by. Breakfast was delivered to the room daily, and our wonderful hostess was always happy to assist us with questions or problems.
The rooms were immaculate and spacious, and decorated with themed movie posters - My wife and I were lucky to be in the Honeymoon room, with the La Dulce Vita poster!!
The hotel is a budget hotel, and is very inexpensive by Rome standards, but you couldn't find a more gracious hostess than Alberta, and a wonderfully maintained small business right in the heart of the Eternal City. We would highly reccomend the hotel for couples, families with children, and small groups.

I am torn about leaving this review because I hope to return with my husband at some point and don't want the hotel to be full!
We have just returned from Rome (February) and felt compelled to comment on our stay.
An outstanding visit in every way, myself, my mother and my aunt stayed for 5 nights at Hotel Paba. The hotel owner was most welcoming and always helpful, totally in control of all taxi arrangements - organising transfers to and from the airport - and general advice on eating establishments, buses, directions etc. The rooms are well appointed and immaculate, in fact the hotel itself although surprisingly compact, is stylish and comfortable. The hotel has the perfect location - a 5 minute walk to the Colosseum and to the Vittorio Emanuelle Monment. In fact, this hotel is in the true centre of Rome - everything walkable, lovely area, lots of places to eat - what more can you want? Seriously, we - and that's all 3 of us - cannot recommend this place enough. Go there.

This is the second time we stayed at PABA. It's centrally located near the Colosseum and the Forum. It's spectacular value and the staff are great.

We had a clean, good sized double room within stumbling distance of the Colosseum and Forum - what more could you want? Hotel owner is very helpful and the 2* rating really belies how nice Hotel Paba is.

The location is great, as close to the sights as you could be and in an area that felt completely safe at night. We noticed many hotels in the same price bracket as this one were not as central and were mainly further East in the area around Termini station, which felt a little less safe to us.
